What's your policy on characters from canons that have been fully released for a while, but not fully translated? If it helps, the one I have in mind has had more than enough translated to RP from (there is a clear personality and background for many characters) and is being translated at a snail's pace.
Canons that are not fully translated are fine as long as, like you say, enough has been translated to establish a clear personality and background. Also, the canon point from which you are taking the character needs to be within the scope of what is available to a wider audience.
If you have a particular series/character in mind and still aren't sure, let us know what it is, and we'll look into that one specifically and get back to you.
I know you mentioned Summoning Spells aren't allowed, but does this extend to the Persona games? Their summons are manifestations of their inner selves, so to speak.
I'd imagine this won't be a problem with P4 since their Personas can only be summoned when inside the TV, but my question is geared more towards P3.
The rule against summoning spells does extend to the Persona games, so characters would be unable to summon their Personas while they are in Luministi.
It says that the first-person sample "must include at least 10 lines from [our] character." Does this mean ten lines of dialogue in addition to the rest of it, or ten lines of text in general?
This means ten spoken (dialogue) lines, which should be accompanied by a view of the character's thought processes.
As the application mentions, mute characters or those who almost never speak can instead write a sample of at least 250 words with more of a focus on the thought processes.
We will allow for crossover AUs as long as the character, such as Light, is still recognizable as Light despite having grown up in a different setting. The application would need to detail how that different setting has affected him.
