Family, one of the worst inventions ever... Just when you need support you get he opposite... The trouble is of course that some people are convinced that, just because they're your parents, that their advice is somehow gospel, but you as the kid have no right too 'dictate' too them about anything...

That's one of the truest and wisest statements ever: Family is bad for you. Do what's best for you and ignore everyone else.

I agree about your mother... except for one bit: You have to take your medicine. If taking it changes everything, allows you to eat normally and healthfully, then by all means, take the meds.

I know Silvie. I just can't make that appointment right now. Maybe this summer. Maybe if I can find a way to see a doctor somewhere else where they don't know I have a thyroid problem. Gah. *sigh*

Njah my family is good to me so you know i'm lucky that way. Almost everyone on my friends list has problems with theirs. Auch etc. Anyway, do what you feel is best. i'm not smart or ballsy enough to come up with more profound advice.
