I'm kind of a landcomm addict, lol, but I never felt like I would like to join this one... Is it fandom-y at all? :P Every time I see anyone post something made for that landcomm, at least a part of it is stock, and I'm not interested in stock graphics at all. And are graphics ~analyzed and ~discussed there? (I mean, like the communities that are just for talking about icon styles and whatnot? Totally not my thing.)

No one really discusses anything specific about making graphics at least not that I've seen in my team comm.

Some challenges are fandom only and others are more open to stock images. But almost everyone uses and requests fandom sig tags & icons. The main thing different from other comms is there are no fic challenges. Oh and you can make music fandom or real people graphics (actors etc).
You would probably like it if you can deal with another challenge comm.
I can only handle one at a time because I make graphics slowly. well, no I just have to think about what to make a while. Then usually I make it in a last minute rush. lol

Well, I only write fics for 2 or 3 of my landcomms, I tend to ignore fic challenges in my other landcomms (I'm in 8 overall), so that sounds good. :D Are there challenges where stock graphics are required? This (and the analyzing, which I'm glad to hear doesn't exist there!) is the only thing that puts me off.

No I haven't seen one for stock pics only yet and I've been in 2 phases. But this is a new phase. I'll "leak" this info. One challenge open now (until the 30th) is for you to use 1 top favorite TV series to make stuff.

LoA hasn't done any challenges like you see on Deviantart where it's entirely stock based digital painting/manips and fandom is forbidden. I really don't think it would happen there because there are lots of fandom people there.
