Friday - Saturday - Sunday I went to C2E2.  The details are fairly banal.  As cons go c2e2 has the basics down but lacks in the 'filler' material which makes cons so much fun.   I did get to sit in on The Walking Dead Q&A which was interesting. Did you learn anything interesting about upcoming Walking Dead? Will next season at least be more than 6 episodes? As much of a Stephen King fan as I am, I am not sure how I feel about him writing for it.....

I've like Mark Sheppard in everything I've seen him in, though I didn't recognize the name. Needed to look up Amy Berg also.

I first became aware of Mark Sheppard on Firefly (of course) and then started discovering him everywhere. He plays fantastic adversarial characters and these characters are often written for him by his writer friends. His father (William Morgan Sheppard) has an equally extensive genre acting resume.

The next season of The Walking Dead will be a full season. The actors obviously aren't privvy to much information. They were talking about writers and such for the show and how it isn't important that so many left because no script they wrote ever was shot without Frank Darabont 'frankifying' the script first. So even if King writes an episode, it will still get passed through Frank Darabont.

Which in the oddness of the day, Chuck Russell (director of The Blob, etc.) was at The Music Box talking about Frank Darabont and what he has done with The Walking Dead. Within the horror circles, The Walking Dead is this wonderful moment of awesome.
