PART 1 - Canon
1. Have you read all books?
Yep. I desperately need to re-read the 4th and 5th though...the details have wandered from my memory. The 6th is coming out in three days! *dies*
EDIT EDIT EDIT! If I'm not allowed to edit I apologise, but yes, I have read the 6th book now! Finished in a day and a morning...sad, yes. Read my el jay if you're interested in any opinions.
2. Give us your personal interpretation of each Hogwarts house (in terms of atmosphere, mentality, intra-house relationships etcetera - these are just a few examples).
Hmmm...here’s the thing; it’s difficult to have a ‘personal interpretation’ of the Houses that isn’t largely influenced by the almighty Soooooooorting Hat. This so called personal interpretation would certainly just be an emphasis of one of it’s songs. Nevertheless, here is MY spin on its’ little ditties.
Gryffindor
The coveted house, after all, it’s where the brave are. Danger isn’t an issue and potential injury on any level isn’t a consequence if the purpose for their actions is for the best. They posses a streak of arrogance confidence that helps them carry out their thoughts in actions, instead of just talking themselves up only to amount to nothing. They’re not afraid to stand up for what they believe to be true, despite odds being against them (Hermione with her S.P.E.W, generally everything Hazza P does...etc.), if it’s right, then they’ll do it. However this is also the house that is happy to bask in individual glory. They enjoy being heroes and all the recognition that comes with it. Although in all fairness, who doesn’t like their 15 minutes of fame? They can be arrogant and stubborn and will refuse to take opposing ideas into consideration, even if they may benefit from it in the long run.
Hufflepuff
Not at all the placid, stupid, rejected House that some obviously ignorant people percieve it to be. It’d be the house that those who are loyal and morally correct go. In terms of what’s wrong and what’s right it wouldn’t be what’s outlined in black and white that they would go by, but with what seems correct by their morals. Friendship is much more than mere companionship to them, but a place to invest a strong sense of loyalty. Hence, occasionally a lot of their decisions are influenced heavily by the opinions of their peers, which may or may not result in their loss of individuality amidst their group of friends. However their reason for caution in matters concerning their friends is nothing short of thoughtfulness. It can’t be said that their reasoning for this would be cowardness of a fear of rejection (although in all fairness it differs by the individual). I also think that those with a slightly creative or eclectic mind would bounce right into this house, although that could just be me...
Ravenclaw
I honestly don’t know what to say about Ravenclaw except for the obvious: they have a thirst for knowledge and enjoy gaining information. Those in this house are aware that knowledge increases understanding and it’s understanding that assists in overcoming complications.
Slytherin
Driven by a need for success, these kids are more than willing to partake in perhaps less than correct actions to get what they want. Sometimes there’s a misconception that portrays these loverly people as...children of the darkness or something, but I don’t think it’s something particularly that they were born with. An alluring mixture of: an interpretation of a particular lifestyle, peers, a want or need to be feared and respected, even perhaps a desire to be individual and stand out from the crowd, is what I think can be held responsible. A determination to prove themselves contributes to their particular mindset and so strong is their determination that they carry out their thoughts with actions that may well be devoid of fairness and kindness. Maybe it’s those who carry with them a streak of cruelty in their determination to achieve things that separates them from those in Gryffindor.
But honestly, what would I know...? It’s the Sorting Hat with the answers.
3. What would be your favourite flavour of Bertie Bott’s All Flavoured Beans and why (note: as the name implies, all possible flavours exist)?
Nipple Flavoured...simply because you have all these “Sex on the Beach” and “Screaming Orgasm” and “Slippery Nipple” and various other amusingly “illicit” names for alcohol, so why not let the innuendo slip into the world of Bertie Bott’s? Yeah, that or dark chocolate...
4. If you were on your House’s Quidditch Team, which position would you preferably play and why?
Yis, yis, Beater fo’ shizzle. Seeker remains vacant for a large part of the game until they spot the Snitch, and I wouldn’t have the patience to remain idle in an event like an important game. Plus, Seekers would need speed and agility...I’m no ballerina. Same with Chasers. I can’t catch for my life so goodbye to Keeper. Beater however, sounds nice. Nice healthy way to relieve myself of pent up anger too.
5. (Optional) What HP conspiracy theory do you hold true unless it is textually proven otherwise? (i.e. Snape is a vampire, Ron is Dumbledore, etc. -there are loads of these theories. Feel free to contribute your own)?
Snape molested Percy and continously fantasises about doing the same to Harry. It’s only his pseudo hostility towards Hazza P that prevents him from throwing caution to the wind and indulging in one of his most dangerous fantasies. It could be true. Snape’s character is so muffled under so much hazy complexity.
6. (Optional. If you can't answer #5, make sure you answer this one.) What is your favorite book aside from HP and why?
Ack! Too many!
7. What would your Room of Requirement look like?
Apart from it looking like Hagrid’s Hut...chocolate brown carpeted floors, with an extremely soft and fluffy texture. Vintage French furniture. A very pretty chaise lounge. A wide variety of musical instruments. Unlimited source of sheet music and alcohol. Double king size bed with French ornamental designs. Mini bar. Mustn’t forget a gorgeous acoustic guitar. A wand holder...with French designs. Haha. -sigh- Ahhh, dreams.
8. Describe your wand and tell us why you picked that design.
10 ¼ inches, ebony and Unicorn hair.
Doesn’t it just sound beautiful? It’s a suitable size for a fairly vertically challenged person. I can’t believe how much it costs for a freaking wand. $45 U.S.!!! Sheeshus Krahhst.

What's Your Personality Type? 10. Who is your role model and why?
I don’t really have a role model because it’s pretty stupid to live by someone else’s accomplishments. But in terms of simply admiring someone’s sentiments, I’d say my mother dear. Her life’s pretty much been pain after pain resulting in disappointment after disappointment. She’s had some good moments, but those memories are racked with pain and sadness. Yet you wouldn’t know having just met her. She boogies on down harder than I do. I think. Let’s all get corny now! Bum ba di dum.
11. What would you like to have accomplished at the end of your life?
Fuck. Way to make someone worry. I know someone would just say that not setting myself a goal is just a way to grimly accept failure, but that’s just one perception. I don’t want to set myself a set goal concerning my career or finance etc, because the future is twisted and planning for it takes out the fun and suspense. Wishing for the future wastes the present. But I’d like to have loved with desperation. And to have someone feel the same for me. Living without having ever known that kind of love, and not in the sense of parental love, wouldn’t really be a life lived.
12. Would you sooner commit a crime against your kin or your countrymen?
...that just really all depends on the crime and where it stands on my moral o’ meter.
13. What would your animagus be and why?
Meow, kitty cat. Hell, if I’m not getting pampered as a human I want some pampering as an animal. Sounds like a suitable kind of lifestyle. Sleep all day, party all night. Act superior. Lol, kidding. But, honestly...cat’s are just so pretty. And don’t you agree that there’s some mysteriousness attatched to them? We used to guard the Underworld. Boo-yeah.
14. What would your patronus be and why?
I’m hoping it’d be a lion. Surely an elegantly ferocious and dangerous creature like a lion would have the Dementors quivering in their little boots. They’re like the mascots of power. Yee-uh! Represent! (I wonder why Jamie Oliver always looks at the wrong camera...) Surely having a patronus that takes shape of a lion would make you feel safe. Plus I’m a Leo. Seems to fit.
15. What career would you consider if you were indeed part of the
wizarding world and why?
Oooh, I like this question. Smacking myself for not thinking about this one before. Uhm, music, words and visual arts I suppose are my hobbies/passions...so perhaps some singing sorceress, or author witch, or maybe I could start a comic like The Adventures of Martin [whoever]: The Mad Muggle, but better. And Ron could be my nuber one fan, and then I’d invite him over to my castle which I bought with the millions of galleons I earned from the comic and well..you can imagine the rest. French champagne, lingerie from the latest Victoria’s Secret catalogue, candles. Or maybe we could give that double king sized bed in my Room of Requirement a workout. Hmm...sorry. Must. Stop.
P.S. Sorry to the mods for being stupid with the whole applying thing. I thought we were allowed to alter the appearance of the app.
