How much time are you willing to invest in this community? All I can say is that I have way too much time on my hands

PART 1 - Canon

1. Have you read all the books? Yes. I’ve read them all more than three times and I’m working on reading HBP a second time. I love the books and I can just read them over and over again with out getting bored. I own all six books also.

2. Give us your personal interpretation of each Hogwarts house (in
terms of atmosphere, mentality, intra-house relationships et cetera -
these are just a few examples).

Gryffindor- The students in Gryffindor, at their best, are brave, courageous and confident; At their worst they are rash , foolish, hot headed and egotistical. The Gryffindor are people who like to stand out. They are loud and proud of their house and what they do. They value a person’s morals and integrity as much as their courage and confidence. The atmosphere in the house is busy and loud but in a good way, the common room is decorated in warm colors to aid in the feeling of energy. Gryffindors have made an unspoken rule of loathing Slytherins, both House’s are in a never ending contest. The Slytherins never accepting loss and the Gryffindors too proud to lose. When it come to the other Houses Gryffindors seem to show them indifference, they don’t really go out of their way to promote inter-house relations.

Slytherin- Slytherins are cunning, ambitious, witty and intelligent though most of the time they simply come off as sneaky, ruthless, snarky and arrogant. Slytherins like to stand out as much as they like to sit back and blend in, they know when to act and when to stay quiet. The do not accept losing easily and they have a bit of a superiority complex. They value a person’s wit and intelligence just as much as their ambition and cunning. Now you may say, wait a minute isn’t wit and intelligence Ravenclaw like? Well yes but Slytherins do not value wit and intelligence above all and they value and it very differently. They value it for it’s uses not for it’s sheer being. The atmosphere in Slytherin is one of quiet, people go their own ways and do their own things within the dark greens and dankness of their common room. The Slytherins too have made loathing Gryffindor their job. Out of all the Houses, Slytherin is the one that tends to keep most to itself.

Ravenclaw- This House is intelligent, diligent and witty though at times it can be close-minded, workaholic and snotty. Ravenclaws, more so than Slytherins at times, have a bit of a superiority complex and they tend to look down their noses at others because of their ‘astounding’ wit. Ravenclaws value intelligence and wit above all and they value it for it’s sheer being. Not everyone in Ravenclaw is naturally smart, most are the types that work hard and get good marks because of it. The Ravenclaws are the thinkers though they tend to shun others opinions if they do not agree with theirs. The atmosphere is almost one of a library, hushed quietness and people working diligently at the tables and chairs set about their blue and grey common room. Ravenclaws are more open about inter-house relationships, still they will have to judge you fairly worthy before bestowing their friendship upon you.

Hufflepuff- Hufflepuffs are loyal, patient and hard-working though they can be annoying, too trusting and pompous. Hufflepuffs in general are nice and loyal, they value hard workers and patience. Hufflepuffs have are a little too trusting and a little too quick to become devoted to someone or something. They can come off as pompous and annoying if they won’t leave you alone. On the good side though, you know you can trust a Hufflepuff to do a job all the way and correctly, you can also trust them not to divulge secrets. The atmosphere in Hufflepuff is one of talking and bonding mixed with a good deal of homework doing and helping. Hufflepuffs are the most open of the Houses to inter-house relationships, they are willing and eager to make new friends.

3. What would be your favourite flavour of Bertie Bott’s Every
Flavour Beans and why (note: as the name implies, all possible flavours
exist)?
Lemon. I know it sounds strange and all but I love the taste of lemon. It’s something I never get sick of so therefore it would be my favorite.

4. If you were on your House’s Quidditch Team, which position would
you preferably play and why? Beater. I play tennis now as is and you do a similar thing. You hit a ball with a racquet/bat with accuracy towards your opponents. I have the strength and the accuracy to do well in this position. If I wasn’t a Beater I probably would be just a spectator.

5. (Optional) What HP conspiracy theory do you hold true unless it
is textually proven otherwise? (i.e. Snape is a vampire, Ron is
Dumbledore, etc. -there are loads of these theories. Feel free to contribute
your own)? I don’t really read to much into those aside from the fact that JK is very biased towards the Houses she created. (I.e Slytherins are always bad, Gryffindors are always good, Ravenclaws are all smart and Hufflepuffs are weak)

6. (Optional. If you can't answer #5, make sure you answer this
one.) What is your favorite book aside from HP and why? I love the book Ender’s Game by Orson Scoot Card. My favorite series is the Ender Quartet of which Ender’s Game is the first book. I love it because it is a book about discovering your enemy’s and never giving up and cheating the system when things become unfair. The whole series is like that, finding out how to exploit the weaknesses of your opponents/enemies and using them to save the world/cure a disease/save your life. They are obviously more detailed than that but I wouldn’t want to spoil them for anyone who hasn’t read them yet.

7. What would your Room of Requirement look like? Aside from it looking exactally like Hagrid's Hut it would be a room with overstuffed couches and chairs and it would be a little chilly but there would be lots of blankets around, it would be a place for me just to be alone and write or draw or think. I would rarely invite people there but I if I did they would be few and far between.

8. Describe your wand and tell us why you picked that design. It would be a mahogany wood wand, because I think that the deep, rich, dark color of mahogany is simply beautiful. It would be 11 inches long, because a wand must be in proportion to the wizard/witch (I.e Umbridge had a short wand and she was short.) I’m tall to my wand would be fairly long, it would also be flexible because I would just end up breaking a wand that was too stiff.

What's Your Personality Type?

10. Who do you admire most and why?
I admire my mother almost as much as I hate her. She makes my life hell but I can’t help but look up to her. She’s one of the strongest people I know, she has to do everything for herself and she demands on being independent. She also deals with a lot of stress and stuff yet she is still perfectly sane. I commended her for that. I hope that when I get older I’m just as strong and independent as her.

11. What would you like to have accomplished at the end of your
life? The biggest accomplishment I hope to achieve is getting out of life relatively sane. I can’t say I’d like to get out of life alive because that’s imposable, so I’ll just say I’d like to be sane.

12. Would you sooner commit a crime against your kin or your
countrymen? It depends on the crime, who the countrymen are, what kin and various other things. You can’t make a general statement like that and expect a specific answer. Give me a better, clearer situation and I’ll give you my answer.

13. What would your animagus be and why? I’m guessing it would be some sort of feline. Maybe a house cat or a smaller wild cat. I’m lazy and I’d like to just sit around and procrastinate all day long rather than get anything productive done, yet I can get quite catty/bitchy if someone tries to get me to do something I don’t like. I wouldn’t really know unless I really did become an animagus.

14. What would your patronus be and why? A cat like my animagus or maybe a bear. My dad reminded me of a bear and I think that would be the most probable form my Patronus would take. Then again you can guess all you like about what it could be but you’ll never know until you actually cast the charm.

15. What career would you consider if you were indeed part of the
Wizarding world and why? I don’t know what exact field I would be in or what I would be doing because I don’t believe JK has given us enough information on jobs etc. All we know about is teachers, ministry officials, shopkeepers and Aurors. Aside from that, if I had to say what job I’d consider I’d say I would work for the ministry. I would not however be working under a lot of people, quite the contraire. I would aspire to be head of something and have lots of people working under me.
