I got a new Mac laptop and I was curious how you get AIM for...or how you get something that lets you talk to someone on AIM...

i use adium, it does all of them

there's also ichat which you can talk to other mac users on the webcam and sign into your aim account

dude, i use ichat. it comes with mac standard software. all you do is log in using your password and account name and your buddy list shows up.

go to preferences and change your account from .mac user to AIM.
