I assume I'm not the only one who has to refresh every page a jillion times to get it to load, and a jillion more times to get it to load EVERYTHING. Makes it a bit difficult to keep up with the f-list. Come on, LJ, fight the good fight and fight it swiftly ( Read more... )

LJ has been mostly working okay for me actually, other than running kind of slowly at times.
Do you use firefox? Because if not, that might help.

I managed to get into DH today (it was packed) and will do a write-up soon. :D

It's like hit or miss lately it seems. And yes, I use Firefox, I started to try IE in case that helped but it didn't. Bah.

I've been absent from LJ for about a week because of the loading issues, but it seems now, for the first time since that started, it's back to normal and I haven't had these issues since I signed in a few minutes ago. Here's hoping it lasts.

Ugh, I still need to see the Deathly Hollows Pt. 1. Way behind. : ( What are D-box seats?

Argh, I want to go out west sooo bad. The good news is, if my budgeting holds, I might be able to afford to next year. : ) Still, no fair taunting by saying how pretty it is after telling us you're not posting any pics. : (

Yeah yeah, I intend to. The roommate's fiance is Harry Potter-obsessed and has all of the DVD's, so I can grab it from her anytime and catch up.

Wow, I've never heard about that before. It does sound pretty cool and I would NOT rob myself by spending the extra money and then opting for the wussy setting. Screw that! Hmmm...I'm fairly sure Kalamazoo, MI, where I live, isn't quite big enough to be on the cutting edge with this new D-box seats, but maybe Grand Rapids just 45 minutes north of here is. I'll have to check into it just out of curiosity.

Ah, so there's no sense of urgency if you can grab it whenever... but you should see the final one on the big screen! And I know you'd like those seats. The problem is you might get spoiled like me :) I was curious so I just wanted to try it out, and I even thought afterwards "well I don't know if it was worth all that extra"... but if you think about going on an expensive roller coaster ride that lasts 2 minutes versus this lasting 2 hours... LOL I can justify anything. "It's the last Harry Potter!" "I've had a lot of overtime lately, I can afford it!" "I'm usually so frugal, I should live a little!" They're assigned seats (at least in my theatre) because they only had 2 rows of the special seats, so I wonder what happens when all the seats don't sell out. Couldn't some schlub who didn't pay extra come sit in the seat? Or do they only activate it when you buy the ticket? Or do they have ushers closely monitoring the seats throughout the movie ready to kick out the thieves? They probably just keep new releases there so they ( ... )

I loved it! Have you seen it yet? I haven't read a lot of reviews about it really. The only negative thing I'd heard ahead of time was something I disagreed with after I saw it. And I know a guy who wanted more action... yeah, okay, if the movie's 3 hours long then you can have your extra action! Extended length dvd would be nice...

Oh cool! So you didn't apply for a re-sort? Don't squib me please, haha! I have my app pretty much ready to go, just nitpicking it now. I wish the books were a little fresher in my mind, my canon section might be a bit weak.

Thanks for the link! I'll go comment over on that entry. I must have missed that since I was avoiding LJ before I got to see the movie (2 days after it was released) and then I got too busy in the days afterward to even get on LJ. I'm attempting to keep up with my f-list now, although after today I won't be online at all 'til Wed. Sigh.

Ha! It is a rather intimidating thing, that app...

I've been away since Sunday but yes now it seems to be working fine, yay!

I don't do netflix... I am resisting! Esp. now they've raised prices, I'm glad I'm not hooked. If I need to cut back on cable someday I might look into doing that. But generally I prefer to watch stuff on my TV, not the computer.

112 here today and it RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAINED for like 15 minutes really hard!

Mmmm brownies - I have some I need to make!

Well, I respond if people write on my wall or send me messages :) but bleh, FB is too annoying to be on for long!
