I finally saw Breaking Dawn

Dec 10, 2011 23:01

I cried. But then, that could be because I've been emotional since attending a funeral for a co-worker this afternoon. People do seem to drop dead more often around the holidays, don't they? It was the most gospel-y funeral I've ever been to.

Just a few things, cut for spoilers )

I went to a funeral yesterday too. :(

You have to read the hunger games books. I've never read a set of books so quickly. Such a good story. Stop Harry Potter and read it right away! :)

Aww I'm sorry :(

Oh really! Another glowing endorsement! Maybe I'll get a Barnes & Noble gift card for Christmas and check them out... though I can't abandon Harry :)

Okay - how could Edward hear the baby's thoughts if the baby doesn't think in any kind of recognizable language?

Probably the same way that he is able to impregnate a woman with a dead body that is not able to process food but is somehow still able to produce sperm - by purely being BE-AUTIFUL EDWARD THE SPARKLY SUPERCUTE-VAMPIRE. And - and this is a mild spoiler but I think you might already have guessed it - that baby is way SPESHUL!!!111!!!!, so of course it can think coherent thoughts already even though it's still a fetus, and I bet it also has perfect grammar and an impressive vocabulary.

----

I just got the Hunger Games on my e-reader. I'm really curious about them, too.

You're right, it must be all that sparkle! RPatz had some glitter leftover from his time as Cedric the Hufflepuff.

You'll have to post about Hunger Games if you like them!

I thought I read somewhere that Edward eats the fetus.

You probably confused "eats" with "bites out of Bella's body" - shortly before Jacob falls in love with it.

No, I haven't read or seen it. Yes, I still know what happens.

Hope your computer gets fixed okay. :)

LOL what a well-versed non-Twilight fan you are!

Sigh, the guy has to come back, hopefully tonight. If what he's doing works, it will be awesome. If not, I'll probably get a new computer. He didn't even take my credit card info or anything and he left some stuff here. I think he looked around at all my Stuff and realized I wasn't about to pack up and take off with it. HA!

Also, he's a geek and therefore very cute, lol. Alas, a little too young for me. I've learned my lesson about the young boys! ...not that I'd want anything even if he were the right age. He's just eye candy!

Oh, yeah, just remembered. I saw this blonde couple today who actually looked like Twilight vampires, their skin was really pale and she even had the eyes.
I wonder if they did it on purpose.

I bet they did! Except, there's no sun in England so isn't EVERYONE really pale? LOL

I don't like the monthly fee things where I feel pressured to get my money's worth, hehe.

The computer geek and I talked about Star Wars and Firefly and Lost! He was disappointed I didn't watch BSG. Like, he kept going back to it. It was a Cougar Test to see if I'd take the opening to hit on him and say we should watch it together. Ha!!!
