Never expected Ugly Betty to make me cry

I mean, Ugly Betty's a comedy, right? Light. Irreverent. But that scene was a ton of bricks. If you saw it, you know which one - if you haven't and are even a casual watcher like me, it's worth watching online.

Betty's family has always been the favorite part of the show for me, because they're so real. . I must know a dozen women just like Hilda,

I finally got to watch it yesterday. Yeah, the Hilda/Santos stuff was so sad. I had a bad feeling from the beginning that it wasn't real because it was so clear for the most part that he died last season. But, still, I wish he hadn't. And the actress that plays Hilda was really good in all of her scenes. I love the look on her face when he finishes reading his vows to her and she's just gazing at him.

I like Daniel and Betty a lot. I don't even know if you're really supposed to actually want them together, but at some point out of nowhere midway through last season it hit me that I really think I do. Plus, I learned that in the telenovela version, Betty ends up with her boss, so I guess we'll see what happens. But I never liked her with her first boyfriend (can't even remember his name now) and I don't really care about Henry either. And, yeah, that fat suit was hideous.

Another premiere that surprised me how good I thought it was was Desperate Housewives last night. But I really love Gabby/Carlos.

I wasn't thinking too hard about the show and thought, oh neat, I guess he only got wounded, and I was thinking Oh brother, another bride making the guy write his own vows, and then BOOM (although I could have seen it coming).
I'm not sure I trust Daniel enough not to break Betty's heart if she fell for him. I like them as friends.
Yay - I finished the FNL DVDs so I'm ready and waiting for Friday! I love how Landry's romantic road trip with Tyra turned into Little Miss Sunshine family. I missed that first time around.
