This is why SPN fandom is the best:

It's the Chicago Con (bloody hell, yes, I live only 5 hours away but noooo I couldn't go. Boo!) Karaoke Party. Richard is there with the Vampire Alpha guy and young Mary. But the best part is MARK PELLEGRINO singing AC/DC "Big Balls" and Sebastian Roche crowdsurfing.

Oh man! If I'd known Sebastian Roche was going to be there I totally would've tried harder to get there this year... :(

Oh yeah! He's becoming a new fan favorite. I think he attends most of the cons nowadays.

The idea of him crowdsurfing above me makes me want to go all "ahhh!!!" :D heehee

I'm REALLY thinking about Nashville next June. I'll be able to get tme off from work then... ;)

Of course, in RL I have no friends who are spn fans so that and the extreme price of attendance are the two things stopping me from attending a con...siiigh.

I went to the one in Chicago last year. It was pretty fun. But you're right, it does get pricey. And that's just for the tickets and the photos and if you want autographs, etc. Add in flight, hotel and food and it gets a little crazy.

I was there for business during the week and stayed for the weekend to attend the con, so I was on my own, but it really wasn't an issue. The fans are super friendly - every time I sat down, whoever was next to me would strike up a conversation.

And of course you get to touch Jared and Jenson, so it's all worth it in the end. :P

Yes, I imagine people would be super friendly. I swear SPN fandom - not just the fans but writers and actors - are so damn nice it's almost unbelievable :)
