Warehouse 13
Warehouse 13 is a show about a warehouse that contains mystical artifacts - artifacts that have been affected by a person’s energy. For example, Man Ray (a photographer from the 1930’s) has a camera that can turn people older.
The people who are collecting these artifacts are Myka and Pete, two government agents that were assigned to the Warehouse on the premise that they’d make perfect partners because they’re complete opposites. Joining them is Claudia Donovan, a young tech wizard whose brother was affected by an artifact - and broke into the Warehouse to save him from said artifact. She was successful, and joined the team. Artie Neilson is their boss - an agent that has been in the business for a long time and hides his soft side beneath his gruff exterior. He is Claudia’s mentor and often views her as the daughter he never had. Their final member is Leena, who works at the B&B the agents live at and who has the ability to read auras. The group is watched over by Mrs. Irene Frederic, their boss who has a deep connection to the Warehouse and mysterious abilities; and the Regents - a group of citizens who were chosen to govern the Warehouse.
Recently, Mrs. Frederic was shown to be the Caretaker of the Warehouse - someone who has a deep bond to the Warehouse, and vise versa. The Warehouse is organic, and is shown to get upset when it doesn’t have a Caretaker. The next Caretaker in line is revealed to be Claudia, who is more than a little flustered at the idea. For one, Mrs. Fredric has been the same age since - well, it hasn’t been revealed yet, but it’s been a while. And secondly, Claudia’s only 19 - she’s sure she isn’t ready to have that much responsibility. Artie has assured her that she won’t have to become the Caretaker unless she wants to, but it’s been hinted that he’s lying.
Myka put her trust in the wrong person - nearly causing the end of the world. But she left the Warehouse, consumed with guilt and convinced she’d drive herself mad with second guessing herself if she stayed. She left everyone heart broken.
Haven
Haven is the story of a town in Maine that is affected by the “Troubles” - abilities that give people certain powers, such as not being able to feel anything (the power of Nathan Wurnos).
Audrey Parker, an FBI agent that was an orphan as a child, realizes that her mother was once in Haven when she shows up there for a mission and sees a photographer of a woman named Lucy standing by the body of the the dead “Colorado Kid.” People in the town remember Lucy and give Audrey hints to what she did to help them as Audrey earns their trust. Lucy and Audrey have a degree of control over the troubles, and help the people that are afflicted with them. However, Audrey later finds out that her mother isn’t Lucy - she herself is Lucy.
Audrey joins the Haven police to get answers, quitting the FBI. The chief, Garland Wurnos, is the one keeping everything together in Haven. Her partner is the chief’s son, Nathan Wurnos. Audrey’s powers to control the troubles allows Nathan to feel her, something that cannot be done with anyone else he touches.
Audrey has an assorted group of allies in Haven, which include Duke, a smuggler and owner of the restaurant “The Gray Gull.” Duke has a great deal of anxiety, though, as a Troubled person told him that he would be killed by a man with a tattoo of four people lost in a maze, a tattoo which many of the former residents of Haven have on their graves. It is also carried by another of Audrey’s allies, Julia, who is a doctor for Haven. Her tattoo sometimes is visible, and sometimes vanishes. It is unknown if she knows she has the tattoo, but she knows her grandfather had it. The last of Audrey’s allies are Vince and Dave Teagues, two brothers who own a newspaper and know more about Audrey than they are letting on.
Recently, Nathan’s father has been revealed to be his foster father instead of his birth father. His birth father, Max was the one who murdered the Colorado Kid. Nathan’s foster father killed Max, however, as Garland is shown to be one of the Troubled - a man who can make cracks in the ground. This power has been too much for him, and in trying to control it, he instead blew himself into rubble. Nathan knows he must become Chief of Police - if he doesn’t a Reverend who thinks that the Troubled are doomed to Hell will try and put someone in power. The Rev. (as he is called) also hints that he brought Max to Haven and has powerful friends. He threatens to make Haven a horrible place for the Troubled.
At the end of the first season, another Audrey Parker from the FBI shows up, acting just like Audrey did when she first arrived in Haven (although dissimilar in appearance).
