Ok, so about a month ago now
pants_of_doom tagged me with the 5 questions meme. I had a hard time answering the soundtrack question, but I've finally finished. Sorry for the long wait.
1. Describe the essence of your political beliefs.
Political beliefs, huh? Well, I don't vote because I don't really like anyone enough to vote for them or hate anyone enough to vote against them. I'm pro-choice because I don't think teenagers should be having
kids. Actually, I'm all for putting something in the water that makes you sterile and you have to apply to have children, then you get the antidote... or something like that. I think we should fix what's wrong with
our own country before going out and "helping" other countries. I actually am leaning for isolationism. I think we should be killing more prisoners, since they can't seem to manage to make any sort of useful
contribution to society. Three strikes and you're dead? I don't know, something more harsh than what we have now anyway. I'm all for same sex marriage. Hm... I think that's all.
2. What have you learned from parenting that really surprised you?
I never thought I would willingly catch someone else's puke with my own hands, and yet, I've done that ~at least~ five times for my own child. Ok, now I feel nasty.
3. What do you want to do before you die?
Get that dang Betty Page tattoo that I've been wanting for years now. Actually, I have a list of things... about 80 things on it so far.
4. Write a soundtrack to your life.
This was really hard for me. I can't say that the songs are going to be particularly meaningful to anyone else but me, probably. Songs for me tend to remind me of a certain time period in my life. So, it's not really what the song is about, but more so when it was that I first started listening to it... or something like that anyway.
Lollipop - Chordettes, The Warmth of the Sun - Beach Boys, And Justice for All - Metallica, Rocket Queen - Guns N Roses, Almost Real - Rollins Band, To Wish Impossible Things - The Cure, Vision Thing - Sisters of Mercy, Blue Pastures - James, Slow Burn - David Bowie, The Gentle Art of Making Enemies - Faith No More, Get Over You - Sophie Ellis Bextor
5. If you could be really good at something you're not, what would it be and why?
I would be really good at weaving... working on a loom. I've always wanted to learn how to do that. I could make tapestries! I think that's the coolest thing ever. Or maybe drawing. I've got these great ideas for pictures in my head, but I can't get them out on paper.
If you want 5 or have 5 for me, say something.
