*shudder* Credit cards are, in general, a bad idea for college students. Exorbitant interest rates coupled with the spending habits of 20-somethings with money leads to lots of problems down the road. A wisely-used credit card isn't a bad thing, but if you've got to have a credit card to go on a vacation, that's probably not wise use.

Even so, I have no credit whatsoever. I only got savings and that's it. If I want credit, I need a checking account. *sighs* Figures...

What's to prevent you from opening a checking account? It'd be easier to write a check for your books, or pay with a credit card and then pay that off. Constantly having to go to the bank is a pain. Anyay, it's a good idea to try to build some credit, just don't go overboard. I'd say don't go for the cards that they always have applications for at school. Do some research on your own.
Hope you have a good spring break anyway. I'd love to have people visit, but have very little free time to show them around. ;_; Even when school is on break, I still have to work. >_<
