On question one:

E. Never... as everyone at the (private) play parties were invited guests and known to the hosts, or were vouched for as a guest by one of the other known attendees.

I've never seen a fight break out per se, but I've been to parties and events where one specific individual either behaved like an ass, or was being treated like a turd by some folks who were feeling especially bitchy that night... most of the folks involved, however, were fairly non-dramatic about it.

In terms of fetish nights, I've definitely seen some obnoxious stuff (especially at Hell in Providence, where half the attendees were strippers and frat boys who just didn't *get* it), but nothing that was approaching coming to blows. There was, however, the problem at Hell of folks getting slipped the ol' Mickey.

I've seen couples having it out at parties and nearly attacking each other, screeching and on one occasion throwing things. and I have been tempted to pop a clown or two in my time, but refrained.

I chose "Never, too many DMs" for the first, though simply "Never" would have been a better choice. I've not been to many, and I didn't see an abundance of DMs when I did, so I don't think that was the reason that there were no fights.

I saw a fight brewing between two TES members that were at odds with each other...one was trying to set up a scene, and the other smelled of alcohol and was being loud/rude, messing directly with the headspace of the scene that the other was attempting to create with his play partner.

I stepped in between the two of them as the one who didn't smell of alcohol advanced on the one who did. (I was not a DM.)

Anything can happen anywhere to anyone for no reason at all.
