Really, I could make plans to go because I have a way to get to Chicago and get from the airport and to Oak Park. It's just the hotel part I have trouble with.

Do you know if there are any message boards/yahoo groups/livejournal/etc where attendees can chat/post? I'd like to split a room with someone (or someones) but I don't know where to look. and I don't think anyone from STL is going besides Rin (and I'm betting she has plans already).

I looked around on mugglenet and did a couple of searches, mostly for oak park, magic tree, deathly hallows, and combinations of all three. Didn't get anything relevant. Thanks for your help, though! I guess I'll keep trying to look around on lj, yahoo, google, and the like to see if I can find anything. I'd really like to go but I just can't afford the hotel room on my own.

Really, the only thing that is like ouchy moneywise would be the hotel room costs since I'd take the train up and back and that's not really that expensive.
