I woke up to my alarm at 09:00 and slowly got myself moving. I have to meet someone at 10, so I need to leave as soon as I can.
I seemed to sleep okay, and felt rested and ready to go when I woke up. Everything moved kind of slowly anyway, though -- I was easily distracted, and had trouble keeping track of where I was in the morning routine. My pain level was about the same as the day before, which surprised me given that we had rain overnight... I had been worried that I might be less functional, but apparently not. I need to take care not to push myself too hard, as between the excitement of what we're doing in Ingress and my own restlessness, it would be easy to do. I tend to get carried away and ignore warning signs.
My feet are sore but manageable, my knee is still swollen, but my shoulder is less painful today. My back feels like I tweaked it, though -- there's a sick ache right next to a specific vertebra on the right side, especially when I try to bend over. I'll have to try to take it easy with that, and see whether Akien can mend it when I see him tomorrow.
I've grabbed some toast with nut spread and a can of peaches, and I'll eat them while I'm waiting for my friend to show up.

So the 10am meeting went well, and it was a lovely day, so I tooled around town a little enjoying the fact that I wasn't feeling debilitated. I was still restless, though, so after running an errand to the nursery I headed up to Martinez to check out a trail I had been told about.
The trail was the old Carquinez Scenic Drive, which is paved, and full of gentle inclines. I had brought my harp with me, and slung the strap over my shoulder, with my water bottle in the other hand. It took me about a half hour to casually walk a mile or so, then I sat at a picnic table and set up the harp. I stayed there for close to an hour, enjoying the sun and the breeze, before I packed up and headed back. I sat down to rest once on the way back. I used to be able to take walks like that, and I was enjoying the opportunity, even though I knew I would probably pay for it later.
My feet were okay the whole time; I was wearing my comfortably padded work boots. I had forgotten to grab any food before starting out, so I was hungry for most of the trip, but my energy held up until I got back to the car and had a granola bar. I had no difficulty driving home, though I was disinclined to work my way through alternate routes so I sat in slow freeway traffic instead.
I had some food when I got home, before I went out to fix the rain-shelter and clip a couple of branches for grafting. Now that I'm in again, though I'm still somewhat hungry I find I don't want to get up and fix anything. I'm getting more tired and sleepy all the time; it's hard to force myself to finish this entry. My feet are stiffening up, too, which makes it easier to simply sit here.
I should probably weigh the harp when I have a chance... I'm bad at estimating weight, so it's probably more than I think it is.

I'm in enough overall pain that it's killed my appetite, so I finished with the grafting job I was doing before getting some dinner. My feet are usable, though my left heel is quite tender. I'm quite tired, and I feel hot -- this is too constant to be a typical hot flash, so it might actually be a pseudo-fever. That wouldn't surprise me... it's been several years since I was able to take a hike like that without consequences, and I'm not yet recovered to that point.
It was totally worth it for the stress relief alone, though. It did wonderful things for me psychologically, and I'm willing to cope with whatever crash I get in return.
