crappy day

After a conversation at bedtime where Collin dedcided that "if sleep were a man, you'd be married to him," Collin proceeded to wake me & Cole up not once but twice. 5am and 5:30am. The first time was accidental, the second on purpose. ON PURPOSE. If there is one thing about me you should know, it is this: if you are waking me up, Cole's life ( Read more... )

Nope, I pretty much require 8 hours too. I can manage on 6 every once and while. No less than 6.

If sleep were a man, you'd have to steal him from me to have him.

I'm more the 8-10 hours myself. But I can survive on 7. 6 and I'm grumpy all day.

Hmm, is that where he's been hiding out? At your house??? Maybe we can set up a share program :)

I do love 10 hours of sleep, but it will be a long time before I get to do that. Sigh.

I "need" between 8 and 10. I am in law school. So I usually get 4. And sometimes none. This is why Adderol was invented.
So not weird. Weepy and disoriented tho? That's hard core. Does eating when you wake help that? Or are you actually a slave to sleep?

Slave to sleep. Yup. The good news is that I now have some helpful medications (for thyroid and adrenal glands) that I take after bad nights of sleep, which help with the shaky/weepy/disoriented thing. But if only 6 hours of sleep, I still desperately need a nap. And if I have less than 6, then the nutrition/meds don't help. Seriously. We have only just begun to discover all the ways my body doesn't work.

If sleep were a man, he would be fat, pimply and live with his mother. Any man who does nice things for you is trying to hide the fact that he is otherwise horribly flawed.

Nuh-uh! This is my fantasy so he would be way cute, smart, and totally dig me. So there! (I stick my tongue out at you)

I guess I was thinking more of the dream-personification that Neil Gaiman cooked up. Kind of like a supernatural being. God of sleep. That kind of thing.
