Personally, I am a one-woman army against nose piercings, but mostly because the thought of any nasal piercing squicks me out to a ridiculous extent.

Let's see...

[1] Anything in the nose just grosses me out.
[2] You have a pretty face and I think a nose ring would be distracting; I don't think it would look good on you. Sorry. :(

...Plus, do you really want something in/on your nose for the rest of your life? We have a young professor here who took hers out and she has a scar on her nose from it. :(

And I actually think a nose ring would be cute... But, I've always been partial since I used to wear the fake ones all the time.

He's made up his mind already and I hope you read this. He's cool with staying but I think in his heart, he would want to leave. It makes me sad that you'd be content staying here too. Yeah, quiet life is great but there's no money, no oppotunity and nothing to do here. At least go away for a couple of years and then decide. Give the rest of the world a chance. Step out of a bubble.
