Aye, my achin' back..

I didn't know he was in Cub Scouts!!! I think that is absolutely, with out a doubt, fantastic!

I owe a LOT of who I am today to being a girl scout for some 12-13 years of my life! It gave me opportunities that I would have NEVER gotten with out the right troop :)

Yeah!

Let it be noted that he will not be getting beltloops, so much as "progress towards ranks" awards. He is very proud, nonetheless. I am happy to hear that scouts gave you good guidance- I am hoping to have the same results with Talin. :) It gives us something to do on Thursday nights, and keeps us busy during the week, trying to earn the next rank.

But so help me, they'll never get me to wear a scout uniform. Every pack meeting, there are these parents all decked out in their cub scout outfits. It seems so... I dunno.. yech. *shudder* "My son is 7... how old are you, Sir?"

When you have a good experiance in scouts...it never really leaves you and you never really leave it. The learning from it is always there whether it's your son, or yourself. I can completely understand why some of those parents are all decked out.

I had one of those...well it was green. Not only were we involved in Girl Scouts but we (my troop) was involved in Explorers wich is just a group that allows both Boy and Girl Scouts to do things together on so many levels, with Jamboree's and outings and more. That was awesome to get to meet up with the boys :)
