Yeah. I think we are a pretty selfish community, though I didn't need a word count to tell me that :)
In all fairness though, while I do find Americans selfish, just look at how many times we said 'I' in these three comments. A lot, eh? And we weren't even talking about ourselves, necessarily. We both said 'I think' many times there.

It seems necessary to use I though, just because it is good to let people know that what you're saying is opinion only. If we didn't make sure people knew we were just stating our opinions, then they would really think that *insert name here* was really full of themselves. But yeah, there are other examples of such putting ourselves first like *can me and such and such go to the mall?" You are supposed to put such and such's name first and then say me or I depending on context. Anyway, I have better things to do, like my job.
