i've never been on it, only concern of mine would be if it were to disagree with me, u have more control when ur on the pill, u can stop taking it right away if its not right for u, not so easy with depo

i was on the shot for 4 years. i was pretty pleased with it until the end. i dont think that anyone should stay on hormones for so long...ya know. but the things i experienced were crazy fluctuations in my sexdrive...one month i would not want to be touched and the next month i couldnt get enough. i did gain weight but am not sure if it was the drugs or being a freshman in college. my boobs did definitely get bigger ... but i have itty bitties...so i think i just noticed more. my face also cleared up. towards the end however i started getting horrible migraines and my hair started to fall out more than normal. all in all i was very pleased...heh...cant beat NO period. that was the best!

Most girls I know that got on the shot gained weight. Not necessarily the skinny ones, but anyone that had a little pudge even, gained weight.

I've heard of ppl gaining weight on the pill, but not as much and I didn't. I like the pill.

yea i have also heard of people gaining weight on the pill.

the doctor said there is a possiblity of weight gain but she kindof blew it off as not a huge issue. for my big ass anymore weight gain is an issue.
