Dinah will be going to the vet this afternoon, after I've gone to work. She hasn't eaten, although she did have some water, she threw some back up last night. The vet said he thought he might give her another IV bag-full and send her home, so Chris is going to ask him what would be kinder for her. She's sleeping a lot, and we've thought that she

The vet may have recommended this way of proceeding thinking it would be the easier option for Chris, and since he (the vet) is willing to give you guys the means to make her comfortable, in the end it's really no worse than having her put to sleep now. I don't know for sure, obviously, but I saw a few situations like that when I was tech'ing, and as long as the animal doesn't suffer needlessly, I have a hard time having a problem with it.

You can always call the vet tomorrow and ask, if it's troubling you a lot.

Actually, you comment helps ease my mind considerably. The vet has seen us both cry, and I can imagine that he might just have decided that this would be the best way for us. Plus she gets to be comfortable and at home when she goes, which is what I would want. Thank you.

Thank you. She's sleeping quite a bit, but she purrs if we come near her, and spent most of last night curled up on Chris' lap while we looked at things online and petted her. She seemed to enjoy that, and purred between dozing off.

I'm about to call home and check in to see what's going on there. I want to thank you again- it's been easier knowing I have this support and all of the love from you and the rest of my friendslist.
