Guh. I shouldn't try to respond to these things before I take my morning shower.

I've got #3 (Alice's Adventures in Wonderland) and #5 (American Gods), but those are the only ones that I can figure,I'm afraid.

5. is American Gods - Neil Gaiman (which I've not read, but when your protagonist's name is Shadow...)
