so in one of the journal's i've been reading the person is reviewing perfumes/scents from The Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab and while even the names, let alone the scents, sound really cool it made me start thinking about what scents I personally respond to. My perfume at the moment is "hypnotic poison" by christian dior which is kinda incensy/spicy/ ( Read more... )

For a moment, I read your title as "Scientology?" and couldn't figure out what perfume had to do with it.

I'm really fond of L'Occitaine's rose line (shocker), and their 7 fleur perfume. mtolan also got me a Mark Jacobs scent that I'm really font of.

And damn but I'd love to get some of Chanel's Chance.

yeah, linnpuzzle has been reviewing a whole bunch of these and they just sounded so lovely i decide to look through their catalogue and see what they have. seems you can get six samples (your choice) of their stuff for under $20, or you can get only one if you so desire. i'm intrigued enough by some of their options that when i start to have a little extra spending money i was thinking of doing that. i love checking out new things. btw--if you love rose i think you might like bpal's Morgause (has lots of darker flowers, subtle purple fruits, and a hint of medieval incense), etc. for myself i was thinking of trying in the sample: Blood Kiss, Nosferatu, The Unicorn, Florence, Tintagel, and Bastet. at least that's what i have thus far. but i'm really really intrigued by their limited editions dr. John Seward and the Darkling Thrush but you can't get sample sizes of those, hmmm....

i rilly hate rose, lavendar, and chamomile. i like earthy scents... i have a smooth sandlewood from gap that i love. and fcuk her, which is kinda subtle and musky. i like vanilla, too. and lucky her is one of my favorites!
