A.) action; 1647 Albright Lane;[There was so much wrong about waking up in someone else's clothing that it was hard to know where to start. At least wearing pearls, a dress, and an apron wasn't that much different from a maid uniform, even if Sakuya did feel a bit naked without her usual headdress. That wasn't really what was throwing her, though.

[ Meiling is recognizable enough if you ignore the fact that she's missing her iconic cap (it's at home since it makes drones nervous) and she's dressed in the local time period's fashion. Her long red hair is tied in a huge braid that's draped forward, so as to avoid it being pinched under the weight of the tiny blond girl on her broad shoulders.

The pair is just strolling through the park and enjoying the nice weather, as are many drone families. None in particular catch her eye, because she tries not to pay too much attention to the ones that don't directly talk to her (it's kind of creepy, knowing they're not really enjoying life, but just doing things because they must...) ]

[Flandre is lacking her distinctive wings at the moment, but the way she's acting is still quite distinctive. Glancing around in an attempt to look four directions at once because she must see everything, occasionally babbling excitedly about one thing or another.

...though like Meiling, she's also not paying much attention to the drones (or, well, pretty much everyone just to be safe). As yes, they are very, very creepy.]

[It's Flandre that catches Sakuya's attention first. It's hard to miss her - even without her wings, she's still easily recognizable. That gets the first real smile out of her that she's had since she's been here.

Not that she isn't glad to see Meiling, because she is. As much as it pains her to admit it, the gatekeeper is better with kids than she is, and she's glad that her imouto-sama has had someone to look after her.]

Flandre-imouto-sama! Meiling. It's certainly good to see a pair of familiar faces.

[Don't mind her looking over the both of you, tutting away.]

It's always nice to see people we know, isn't it Flan-- [ Meiling had been talking without turning to look and she halted so fast that, if it wasn't for the hands on the girl's knees, she might have launched her forward. ]

[ Then she sighed, shook her head and kept walking. ] Mm, I must be more tired than I thought. Could we sit down on the benches, Flandre? Just for a little while...

[Flandre lurched forwards a bit anyway, with more than a bit of a squeak. Though she is almost instantly drawn to another familiar voice; panning her head around until she finds it. A recently familiar one, but given that Flan had a very small number of those anyway...]

Mrh?

[That sounded just like Sakuya. And if she turned her head upside-down at the voice, it almost looked like Sakuya. It's hard for Flandre to identify her without meido uniform.]

Sakuya?

[Dreams could play tricks, sometimes...]

[That would be one meido picking up her steps as she heads over to where the two of them are, her smile widening.]

It's me. Your eyes aren't playing tricks on you.

[She checks her apron pocket, and finds what she's looking for. A coin - a quarter, to be exact. With a bit of a grin, she holds it in her palm, showing it to Flan, then closes her hand. When she opens it again, the coin is gone.]

Now where could that have gone, hm?

[With a little sleight of hand, she makes the quarter reappear behind Flan's ear.]

[Flandre perks back upright to look at the coin, chirping a little when it disappears. Where did it go?

[She's half-expecting Remilia to show up, now; this dream was suddenly much better!]

[There's a moment of 'what is this I don't even', but she's not going to get mad about it, even if her cheeks flush a little. From what she's gathered, it's been a very long time, so she supposes she can't begrudge anyone's reaction.]

I see you're both well.

[She reaches up and ruffles Flandre's hair a little bit.]

I hear it's been quite some time...

[ At least she doesn't hug for too long -- she doesn't want to be scolded, after all. Her smile falters a bit, and she looks away. ] It's been... three months? For me, I mean. Flandre here hasn't been here long and Miss Patchouli has been around for over a year.

...but you don't know anything about that, right? It's like we weren't even gone.

[And Flandre chirps again, though content this time instead of curious. She likes headpats, yes she does. And anything related to that. Hair ruffles definitely counted.]

[Sakuya nods and frowns. From what she was gathering, any time spent here was more than long enough, but she isn't going to voice that thought.]

I see. Long enough to get the picture of this place, then.

[Flandre's question makes Sakuya's face fall. She really doesn't want to break it to her, but letting her have false hope is far worse.]

I'm afraid she wasn't there when I woke, Flandre. I'm sorry.

[ Miling nods. ] Yeah, though Miss Patchouli knows a lot more than I do. [ As if this is ever not the truth. ] She'll be mad or glad to see you!

--not that she'll be mad at you, but, you know... [ Words, Meiling. Learn to use them. ]

[ When they talk about the Mistress she, too, frowns briefly, but recovers quickly. She turns her head to sort of glance backward and up to Flandre, smiling. ] Don't you worry! I'm sure if she knew where we were, she'd come right out and get us. [ And then Mayfield's streets would probably run red with blood, but hey, who's counting? ]
