Mm, I have a few things I'd like to say to a few people.
Meiling? I'll admit it. There are a few things you are better at that than I am. You have a proper green thumb and you're excellent around children
( Read more... )
[ It takes her a good long minute to say anything into the receiver after she heard the message. Meiling still isn't feeling her best, but that definitely helped!
--well, if it's sincere. ] Miss Sakuya, are you okay? You don't have a fever, do you? If you do, I'm just going to have to go over there and nurse you back to health!
But you don't sound like... yourself. [ And if you've been droned, maybe whatever gods watch over this place have mercy on the city. ] I mean, it's okay. You can let the other shoe drop. [ "Meiling you are [insert compliment here], HOWEVER..."
Don't I? If I didn't sound like myself, I'd be calling you by whatever false name this place assigned you. Or I would have felt like I did the other day, when it seems like everyone was droned.
...there is no other shoe. [There would normally be a shoe store full of them, though.]

[It was odd hearing noises inside the house again, but given the situation that occurred not too long ago, he wouldn't be surprised if the 'children' were scared to leave the house. He figured Sakuya had it covered-- buuuut it wouldn't hurt to see what was going on. Especially since he needs to take a break himself from his own studies and tests with his magic.
So he'll be stepping out of his study room and making his way for the kitchen. Hopefully she had some tea prepared and sitting around somewhere there.]

[The drone kids seem engrossed in a game of Go Fish, so they're not likely to notice anything outside the game. Sakuya's thought ahead on that front.
She's just finished preparing a fresh pot of tea when he walks in, and there are fresh-baked scones on the table. Without even missing a beat, she pours a cup for both of them - jasmine tea, as the case may be - and passes it right over.]
[He accepts the offered tea and gives her a nod to thank her before taking a small sip. Still superb in taste, smooth blend and the right temperature. After making a small noise of approval, he'll lower the cup from his lips and takes in a deep breath.]
Well enough as they can be, I suppose. Trying to further improve things you've already mastered as a side project by researching things by memory, testing the said skills to various things around the house to further the process and thinking of other things to teach to an amateur magician tends to take up a lot of energy and some time. Just another day in paradise.
[He pauses for a moment, feeling like there is something to share himself but... well, timing isn't just right yet for him. So he opts with another thing to tell her.]
This tea is perfect, as always. It's a shame there wasn't anyone like you that had this much skill back in the Magic Kingdom.
[She takes a sip of her own as she listens. And oh, she's glad that her tea-making skills have stood the test of time and distance.]
That's one way to put it. My day was a bit of morning practice with the smaller blade this place would have me use instead of sharpened silver, along with the usual household chores. Those are a comfort, in their way.
[Her cheeks flush happily at that compliment.]
Thank you. I was lucky I even found jasmine tea when I was shopping earlier. It's rather ridiculous how hard it is to find decent material to work with.
[She wants to say it, but is holding off for now, until the perfect moment.]
The two of you carry yourselves in a very similar manner - charismatic, elegant, lovely. You also share the same love of tea, as small a thing as that is. The way you spoke on the phone, also; there's a similarity in the tone that made me think you were Remilia-ojou-sama for a moment.
Really now? This Remilia sounds like quite the charming young lady then. [Rachel that's just you enjoying those compliments...] I think I'd quite like to meet her someday.
I think you'd find each other interesting. And ojou-sama needs more people in her life who are similar to herself. I fear she gets a bit lonely sometimes, even if she does love tea parties.

Are things going well?
[At least she hasn't blurted out anything. Yet.]

Do I now? [She can't say she's ever reminded someone of someone else.] Tell me, what is this Remilia like? I admit you've piqued my curiosity.
