THIS FEELS SO WRONG TO WRITElunardialledAugust 17 2011, 06:16:08 UTC
[That would have snapped her back to normal and had her apologizing profusely in any other circumstances. Right now, however, she's not having any of it.
Sakuya had sworn her fealty to Remilia. That meant never hurting her, always following orders, and her unwavering loyalty.
Right now, her mind isn't her own; she'll likely cry when she snaps out of it and remembers this moment. The moment she did the absolute worst thing she could: fling a barrage of knives at her mistress.]

Saku-
[Remi does her best to dodge, but a) she's off balance without her wings and b) she can't fly. The way she instinctively blocks as well is ineffective without her wings, so while several knives graze her and her dress, one lodges itself quite solidly into her shoulder, another glancing off her hipbone painfully and sending her crashing onto the sidewalk with a cry of pain]
HERE SHE COMES TO SAVE THE DAAAAAYnotsogreatwallAugust 17 2011, 19:16:54 UTC
[ Forgive the indignity of it all, Remilia, but there is a red-and-green blur picking her up off of the sidewalk and depositing her carefully on the other side of the street.
And, to top off the strangeness of her arrival, she's ... laughing? ] Mistress! Mistress really is here! I'm really sorry, but I'm just so happy! [ Deliriously happy, really. But the green from before wasn't the sight of her iconic dress; no, she doesn't have it yet. They're from the the shimmer of patches of scales on her skin. ]
[Sakuya is seriously going to hate herself for all of this when she snaps out of it.
But right now, she hasn't snapped out of it, and she is not happy about having her target scooped up out of the way. She sets her eyes on Meiling, glaring as she readies yet another barrage.]
Haha, I am? [ Turning a bit, she glances back to Sakuya. There should be fear, anxiety, curiosity, something there, but she feels only glee. ] Is it? She looks healthy to me! [ But those knives. That blood. She breathes in deeply. ] --oh, hahaha~ I think I see it now!
[ Ignoring the incoming attack, she turns back and puts one hand on Remilia's shoulder, carefully looking at that wound even as she smiles. ] You should get that looked at! Can you fly yet? Haha~ There's a hospital in the town. I don't have any bandages with me, but maybe at the house...?
[She takes in all of this with a glare that's as cold as the silver of her knives. Sakuya's already done the unthinkable, so what's one more to add to the body count.
Without a word, without a single sound, she flicks her wrist and sends the knives in her left hand right at the two of them. Restraint? What's that? Killdrones don't have that.]
Then you'll just have to-- [ The yelling interrupts her, briefly, but doesn't stop her movements. She steps between the two, and hugs Remilia rather roughly to her chest as some of the knives flit past, but one embeds itself deep in the back of her shoulder. ] --OWOwowhoahahaaa~ I'm okay! It's okay.
[ Letting go, she reaches back and tugs the knife out with a hard yank, and throws it aside. ] You... should, heh... you should really run for it, Mistress. I can-- [ And here her emotions shift. It's not slow or subtle, and tears well up at the corners of her eyes, her words holding great uncertainty at bay. ] I... [ Sniff. ] I don't know what I'm doing, but I can try. Right?
I don't.. mmm, I don't know where Patchouli went. [ Another sniffle. She swipes at her nose with the back of her hand, voice growing more frantic. ] I think she's visiting the witch...
Just.. go ahead! I can take care of things. I can talk to Sakuya. [ There is no confidence in the words. How can there be, when he lip quivers like that? But she also knows, deep down inside, what she has to do. ]
[It's a sign of how wrong the whole situation is that Sakuya doesn't react at all. She simply watches to see if they're going to leave her be or if she's going to have to use the knife she's twirling between her fingers.]
Meiling, did you not understand me? I said we're leaving. NOW.
[Feel those nails digging into your shoulders, Meiling? THOSE ARE THE NAILS OF A MASTER BEING KEPT WAITING and one that doesn't want to get stabbed by her favorite servant]
No. I can't do that.

Tch...
[She casually picks up that knife Meiling tossed aside. But for now, she's not doing anything with it. Yet.]
I won't let anyone hurt what's mine. My town, my family, all of it. I won't let that be touched.

[SHE HAS NO IDEA WHAT'S WRONG WITH BOTH OF THEM BUT SHE'S PRETTY SURE WHO'S GOING TO WIN THE CRAZY-OFF IF THIS CONTINUES]
Meiling, we're leaving. Let's go find Patchy and figure out what's wrong. That is an order.
