[Ceodore had engaged in the fray with Hazama and came out somewhat the worse for the wear. Nothing broken, nothing crushed, but true to his nature, he threw himself into it full strength. He's wiped out, he's bruised and a fair amount of bloody, since late in the fight his magic ran out. Armor's dinged. And he's trudging home.

[Rydia hears a thud as she passes through the living room, which sends her to the door right away. Upon opening it, she's immediately drawn downward to---]

Ceodore!

[Crouching by him, she turns him over and begins using her healing magic right away.]

Ngh.

[He's groggy and blinking at the sky. He's only half-aware that Rydia's there, much less patching him up, or his next words would never come out.]

I hurt.

So I noticed.

[Rydia frowns, adding some more healing, then she casts a Warp spell up to his room since he's clearly not walking there.]

[Location doesn't matter much to him, except he finally realizes he's been found out.]

Uh, Rydia? Can we not tell anyone about this?

[As if he has any pride left after that faceplant.]

[And once Rydia's gotten Ceodore securely tucked in for a good rest, Cecil comes to check on his bruised little boy. He's polite enough to knock beforehand though, just in case his boy needs some time to hide the signs of non-manliness or something.]

[No hiding to be done, except for that faceplant, the overeager princeling is moderately pleased with himself. He's still nowhere as amazing as his parents, but he's resigned that he won't be. However, he is dozing when he hears that knock on the door, so it takes him a moment to register what the sound is, and then sit up.]

[Please don't let it be Kain come to mock him.]

[Taking Ceodore's voice as permission, Cecil lets himself inside the rest of the way, offering a small smile to encourage the boy.] I'm told you've had quite the adventure.

I don't know about that. It wasn't that big a deal.
