moon1084 His eyes fluttered has his body was stiffening to stretch then turning on it's side. He reached his arms out, hands searching only to feel emptiness.
Jaejoong slowly opened his eyes to gaze at the empty spot beside him, his heart twisting into knots at not finding his love there.
He reached out and grabbed the fluffy pillow that Yunho had used, pulling it to his chest. Jaejoong buried his face into the soft material as the tears wet his cheeks. His body shook slightly from his sadness.
He sniffed into the pillow and found a faint scent that had lingered there. How he missed that smell, how he missed Yunho's special essence after they had been together.
Jae took a shuddering breath. One thing he knew; he was tired. Tired of waiting. Tired of waking up and seeing the empty spot beside of him. Then he remembered the dream he had last night. That was another thing, he was tired of the dreams, and this one had seemed so real.
The fight with Asneath felt so real, his injury and seeing Yunho as he was being held in his arms once again. What hurt the most was the whispered promise that was left by Yunho; his promise to be there beside him when he woke up. Maybe that's why it hurt more this time waking up alone, and then it had in a while. Because of the promise.
Jae sighed and sat up on the edge of the bed, drying his tears. He was more than determined that this was his last cry over that Hybrid. He was tired of everything.
Maybe it was time to move on; time to forget Yunho. Jaejoong didn't even like thinking of that, but he had a long life ahead of him and he didn't want to spend it crying over something he couldn't have. Just imagining the future without Yunho sent him down the spiral of depression.
Slowly, he rose from the bed and padded softly towards the bathroom. He should start now, this moving on, Jaejoong thought halfheartedly.
The vampire leader clicked on the overhead lights then walked over to the vanity.
Jaejoong gazed at himself in the mirror. He didn't recognize the person staring back at him. He was a complete stranger. His eyes looked blank, dead, his face hollow and sunken in. His complexion pale, more pasty than usual and he frowned. He looked like what Hollywood made his people out to be; the walking dead.
Turning on the faucet, he bent forward and splashed cold water on his face, cleansing himself of sleep and the haggard look he held.
Lifting his face up he looked in the mirror again, droplets of water dripping from his chin and splashing into the marbled sink below.
He looked a little better. There was a tinge of color in his cheeks from the chilliness of the water, even if he still looked more dead then alive.
His eyes lowered to his neck and paused there.
Eyebrows furrowing, he leaned further in, a finger coming up to trace the faint line that ran across his throat.
Realization hit and Jaejoong gasped, his eyes going big as he leaned closer to the mirror to get a better view.
It hadn't been a dream! The fight. Yunho. It had been real!
Jae took a stumbling step back, his hands falling to his sides as he gazed at himself in the mirror.
Quickly he turned and rushed to his closest to get dressed. After donning clothing he ran down the stairs to the kitchen. Looking around frantically, breathing heavily, he closed his eyes at the empty room.
Hearing voices, he ran to the living room, hoping to find the one person he wanted to see there.
Upon entering, he paused at the threshold of the room and glanced as all the faces turned to him.
Not seeing the one he wanted to see most, his shoulders slumped and his chest heaved once, twice before he looked back up.
"I'm going out." He muttered as he turned towards the front door. As his hand landed on the knob, he felt fingers take his wrist gently. Tilting his head towards the person, Jae sighed.
"Jae, where are you going? Shouldn't you be in bed resting?" Leeteuk asked as he let go of Jae's wrist and backed up a step.
Jaejoong thought for a moment. If everything had been real then that meant he had almost died.
Shouldn't he feel weaker then he does. Usually it took him a few days to get over major injuries and nearly having his head cut off was a major injury, well, it was to him anyways.
In fact Jaejoong felt great, no pain, no stiffness. Nothing.
Jaejoong tried to remember back to earlier in the evening. Foggy sketches of night became clearer to him. Yunho holding him close to him, him feeding from Yunho.
It must have been Yunho's blood that had healed him this quickly.
The vampire leader felt his heartbeat quicken and then his belly tightened. He had to get out of the house before his younger brothers see him breakdown.
Jaejoong sighed, holding the stinging tears at bay, "Guys, look. Like I said, I feel fine. Besides, I'm just going to the back yard, so it's not like I'm going that far."
Jae opened the door and slipped through before someone could scrutinize him further.
Stepping out into the night air, Jae took a deep cleansing breath. He felt the tension in his stomach unknot and his heart beat slow back to normal.
Jaejoong didn't notice the changes he was going through, didn't feel the pain in him stop and disappear.
Looking up, he remembered that the moon had been hidden. Now as he scanned the night sky, the bright orb hung clearly in the sky, big and perfectly round.
A full moon.
Jaejoong briefly wondered at how the moon could be absent one moment and then next clearly seen in the sky.
He shrugged his shoulders. He wasn't concerned with Mother Nature’s mysteries.
Jae walked around the side of the house, following a worn path from years of previous use, Jaejoong arrived at the backyard. He walked around the boundaries of the backyard before coming to a stop by one of the older oaks in the yard.
The vampire leader leaned back against the tree and looked up to the sky.
"Another full moon." Jaejoong mused sadly, "Another full moon and I'm still alone." His mutterings were low as he whispered to himself.
"All alone."
Jae tunneled his fingers through his hair. "I guess this is how it will be. I simply cannot move on from Yunho. As much as I'd like to, I can't stop loving that stupid mutt."
All the sadness in him turned to frustration as Jae slammed the palm of his hands down to his sides, hitting the tree behind him.
Frustration?
Oh hell yes he was frustrated!
Yunho had told him to wait for him.
Wait for him!
For centuries he had subconsciously been waiting for Yunho to appear in his life. He didn't out right know that he had been waiting for the werewolf. All he knew was that when Yunho was around him, he felt something deep inside him come to life. After his rape, yes, he hated Yunho with a passion that burned like a thousand fires. He had loathed the man to the marrow of his bones.
Then things changed, and before he knew what hit him, here he was mooning over a man that apparently didn't want him as much as Jae wanted him.
"Dammit! Why is this happening to me? Why am I so weak when it comes to that werewolf'? He's driving me nuts!"
Jaejoong scrubbed his hands over his face as he felt his anger mount.
Squeezing his eyes shut tight, he groaned out through his clenched teeth.
"This is ridiculous! Preposterous!" Jae snapped to the light breeze.
Jae heaved a breath before pushing himself away from the tree. Before he could take the first step, a form flew from the tree above him, landing on his feet in front of Jae.
"Yunho!" JaeJoong’s gasp rang out into the night as the werewolf closed in on him.
"Jaejoong, I have something to tell you." was the calm response as Jae pushed back against the tree.
"What? You have something to tell me? After four months, you have something to tell me?" Jae's eyes turned to a turbulent purple.
"Jaejoong, I..."
"You BASTARD!" Jaejoong yelled out.
"Jaejoong, I love..."
"BASTARD! BASTARD! How could you leave like that!" Jaejoong felt the heat of tears again, he knew what Yunho was trying to tell him and he wasn't going to make it easy for the werewolf hybrid.
"JAEJOONG, I LOVE YOU!"
Jaejoong gasped and his hand shot out, the slap ringing out. The wind died down, and Jae heard his heart beating fast.
"You love me! Do you think this is funny? You dare to come to me after four months of this hell and tell me that you love me?!" Jae yelled out, his voice rising as his tears rose again.
Jae laughed sarcastically, his glittering eyes narrowed in rage, "You love me. HA! The werewolf finally loves the vampire. Go figure."
The vampire leader smirked, "So, what makes you think you are welcome here, Yunho? You think you can just stroll back into my life like you never left? Are you just hoping that I love you the same?" Jaejoong shoved Yunho in the chest with his finger. His anger was burning hot. How could this man be so dense?
Jaejoong will not deny that he loves the man, but damn is he pissed!
"You think I would love you after you ran like a scared child Yunho? You acted like a frightened baby running like that, instead of staying and trying to work things out. Hell, did you even think of my feelings and me? No! You didn't! And now you're back and saying you love me. Some way to show your love there Yunho."
Jaejoong glared Yunho in the eyes, "So tell me Yunho. When I'm in trouble, how am I supposed to know that you're not going to run off again?"
Yunho softly looked Jae, "I came when you needed me most, Jaejoong. I was there. I will always be there, from now on."
Jaejoong let out a stuttering breath, "You were there." He muttered.
"Four months Yunho. Four. You left, and I was alone in the midst of my brothers and your pack. I needed you with me. I needed you the whole four fucking months Yunho! Where were you then? "
Yunho had it in him to look guilty, "I had to figure things out Jae. I had never been in love before and yes it scared me. It scared the hell out of me. I loved a vampire and not just any vampire but the one who killed my parents."
Yunho saw Jae about to speak again and shook his head, "I know it was in self defense Jae, but it was still my parents. I don't hold it against you. I understand why you had to do it. I just needed time and this is a big commitment. I needed this for me to be sure. But now I know. I love you. I love you Jae. Please let me stay and show you."
"It took you four months to figure this out." Was whispered out in a low sadden voice.
"I have loved you for what seems like forever now, and you just found out you love me. You left me. You didn't want me, you left me." The last part was said in a quiet voice as Jaejoong lowered his head.
He didn't want to look at Yunho, he would cave in if he saw him. Oh, but he planned on caving in, he loved Yunho. But that didn't mean he was going to give in easily.
Inside he was happy, shouting out his love to the man, but he kept that voice quiet.
Jae reached out and pushed Yunho away from him, walking past the stunned hybrid he walked to the middle of the back yard. Jae glanced up again smiling, as the full moon seemed to glow more brilliantly. Jae could feel it. Tonight was the night he would bond. He didn't know how he knew he just did.
He's angry at Yunho yes, but it wasn't something he wouldn't get over in a heartbeat.
The vampire leader jerked when two strong arms came around him, pinning his arms to his sides.
"Please, Jaejoong. I'm sorry for being stubborn. I'm sorry for leaving. I'm sorry for everything. Just don't reject me."
Jaejoong's ears burned with Yunho's sorry. He took a deep breath and felt the arms around him tighten like bands of steel.
He laid his head back against Yunho's chest, his eyes falling shut as his body relaxed against Yunho's, his body knowing where it belonged. And that was right in Yunho's arms.
"Yunho, I hurt the whole time you were gone. It was like you didn't care if I hurt or not. I could have moved on. I thought of moving on so many time's, and was serious a few times. Each time I tried I couldn't. I just could not see me without you." Jae tilted his head as the breeze blew again, slipping its invisible fingers through his light brown hair tossing it back. The wind felt good against his hot cheeks and neck. "I waited like you asked me to."
Yunho looked down at the petite man in his arms, his heart hurting as he listened to Jaejoong. He knew that the vampire had hurt and it had hurt him.
He had tried his best to get back to the house from picking up Jaejoong's bike and then going to the hostel to pick up his few meager bags. Yoochun had been by his side as Yunho has transported them through the night air and had laughed when they appeared in JaeJoong’s bedroom.
Why did he take Yoochun? To make sure he didn't chicken out and run again. He loved Jaejoong but he was also scared of the love he held for the vampire. Then again he was more afraid of loosing Jaejoong than of being in love. He and Yoochun had talked as they worked to pack his bags, just like whenever Yoochun would visit him.
He had told Yoochun of Asneath's attack and her defeat. Yunho had told Yoochun about how easy it had been to defeat the female vampire. Yoochun had been relieved to know that the woman was gone and no longer a threat to innocent mortals.
Yunho had wondered at why it had been so easy to kill the female vampire. He had thought on it and found no answers. He was sure he would figure it out later. He had just wanted to get back to Jaejoong and keep the promise he had made.
Now with Jae in his arms, he couldn't fathom the future without the vampire leader in his life. He didn't even want to try. He knew that he would never leave Jae again, he had spent to much time apart from him to begin with.
Slowly Yunho lowered his head and kissed the side of Jae's exposed neck. With his lips ghosting over the pale beautiful neck, Yunho whispered, "I know you waited. I'm so glad you waited for me. You have no idea how afraid I was that you would move on when I left." Yunho's lips slowly slid to Jae's ears, his breath fanning against the sensitive shell, and Yunho felt Jae tremble against him.
Yunho felt Jae weaken, on the inside. He felt the vampire leader let go of four months of anger, pain and uncertainty, even thought the hurt was still there in his heart. Yunho vowed that he would do all in his power to wipe that hurt from his heart and make him happy.
*
Jaejoong turned in Yunho's arms, looking up with eyes shimmering with love "You love me? Show me. Kiss me Yunho."
Yunho groaned as his head lowered and he captured Jae's lips in a slow heat inflamed kiss. His arms encircled the slim waist of his lifemate and held him close. He could never get enough of Jae, of his taste, his touch, and his love.
Jaejoong felt his body shivering as Yunho's tongues traced his lips. His tongue hot and wet against him.
His tip probing the center of his lips while leaving a faint trail of clear dampness.
Yunho took in Jae's lower lip. The plump flesh throbbing slightly inside his mouth, Yunho sucked. His tongue slipping in to slid along the underside of his lip, tasting Jaejoong, a mixture of spice and then there, a spot of liquid red as Yunho carefully bit his lip, just a hint of copper. So sweet.
Groaning deep within his throat, Yunho shoved his tongue deep inside Jaejoong's fiery cavern, his sleek tongue sweeping across Jae's tongue, the tip teasing Jae's sensitive roof while stroking again and again.
Jaejoong shivered, his hands finding the soft hair at Yunho's neck, fingers clenching onto the long strands. He felt Yunho's hot breath as they kissed. The soft puffs of life entered him, and sped through his body, bringing back to life the long dead feelings that had went dormant when Yunho had left him. He felt alive. The zing of pleasure rushed through his bloodstream, setting him on fire.
The vampire’s tongue finally came to life, licking and rubbing over Yunho's tongue, the hybrid's rough surface lightly dragging on Jaejoong's wet muscle. Jae couldn't get enough as he forced his lips more against Yunho's, his lips tingling and swollen from the onslaught of Yunho's raw desire.
Yunho slowly lifted his head, licking his lips to get the very last taste of the vampire not wanting to waste a morsel of deliciousness. He gazed down at Jaejoong's eyes clouded with love and lust. He didn't have to read the vampire leaders projected thoughts to know what he was thinking and wanting.
The alpha wolf smiled down at the smaller man in his arms and nodded, "Yes, tonight."
Jaejoong's eyes widened and then he broke out into a gorgeous smile, lighting up his whole face.
Yunho watched as the smile slowly faded from Jaejoong's face, worry appearing in its place.
"Jaejoong, what is it?" Yunho muttered as he slid his hands down to rest on the vampire’s hips.
Jaejoong lowered his head, his light brown hair falling over his brow, covering his eyes.
"Yunho, are you sure this is what you want? Are you absolutely certain? There is no turning back, no fixing this after the deed is done. Once we bond there is no backing out. Have you thought long and hard enough? This is forever, not a momentary thing." Jaejoong whispered as the wind picked up, lifting up strands of hair as Jaejoong lifted his head to gaze up at Yunho.
Yunho frowned down at his lifemate. Not sure? Yes, he was very sure. He had no doubts. Any that he had had were long gone. He just didn't like that Jaejoong was questioning him, but he could see where the vampire was coming from, he did leave him after all.
"I'm very sure. I've never been more sure about anything in my life, Jae. I want to be yours forever."
Jaejoong gasped, his eyes holding a faint glow that seemed to get brighter as they stood there together under the night sky.
"What do I do, Jae?" Yunho murmured as he lowered his head and kissed the vampire softly. "How can I make it that you are mine and mine alone?"
Jaejoong's body started trembling and he felt like he was in some kind of dream. He wrapped his arms around Yunho's lean waist, "Just hold on Yunho. Hold on to me. Trust me, when we start the bonding you will know what to do, it is almost like it is engraved in us to know how to do it."
Yunho slid his long arms around Jaejoong’s body and held him close to his chest. He could feel Jaejoong’s heart beating a rapid pace through his chest; he could hear his quickened breath; feel his body shiver against his.
It dawned on him; this was big. He knew it was a big deal. Jaejoong and he were about to be joined forever, and it didn't scare him one bit.
Yunho felt something flash through him and suddenly his feet weren't on the ground any longer.
He glanced down at Jaejoong and smiled, his face was glowing from love.
He tightened his hold on Jaejoong as they ascended into the sky. Yunho glanced down and saw the ground below them getting further and further away. The ascension stopped and their silhouettes were outlined against the full moon. Slowly like two long ribbons unwinding, violet purple and sky blue light twirled around them, starting at their feet, blue going in one direction, purple the other way making complete circles around the bodies in the center. The glowing illumination crisscrossing as it made an unbreakable shield around the ones that were bonding.
Jaejoong lifted Yunho's wrist and slowly brought it up to his lips, kissing the tender flesh there before sinking his fangs into the warm skin. He didn't have to drink from Yunho since he had already drank from the man and Yunho had already turned, he just wanted to taste his lover as they became one under the stars.
Still drinking from Yunho, Jaejoong tilted his head to the side, exposing his neck to Yunho, closing his eyes as he felt Yunho's breath ghost over him.
Jaejoong gasped as Yunho's teeth sunk into his neck, his eyes popping wide open, his teeth leaving Yunho's wrist as Jaejoong circled both arms around Yunho's neck, his hands tangling into his long hair.
Jaejoong held Yunho's head close to him as he sucked.
He couldn't speak of the pleasure that cursed through his veins like liquid fire. He couldn't speak of the lights as they played around them, the long ribbons shooting up above them into the heavens. He couldn't speak of anything, he couldn't think of anything, but Yunho and what he was feeling at that very moment in time.
Yunho felt himself moan as Jaejoong's life force flowed into him, quenching the thirst deep inside. Was he supposed to be feeling something?
Ahhh....
He felt it, the intense pleasure, the insurmountable love that overwhelmed him. He drank deeper, and deeper. His own was body shaking from the many feelings that were hitting him all at once. He felt Jae's hands in his hair and buried his own in Jae's soft locks, holding him closer to his mouth.
Reaching down, he lifted Jae's leg with one hand, wrapping it around his waist, the other leg finding it's spot on it's own.
Jae filled him to the core. He was everywhere. In him, on him, he was him for a second. He didn't know where Jae stopped and he began and he wanted it that way.
The lights came back down from their celestial sojourn surrounding the lovers once more, starting at their heads and slowly falling to their feet, the lights disappearing at their feet, leaving the vampire and his lover in their wake.
Yunho's mouth released Jaejoong, his head falling back; he let out a great howl. He felt alive. He felt like he was nothing before that he hadn't been living. The rush was still there like it had been in the beginning, roaring through him in great crashing waves.
He was alive for the first time.
Jaejoong watched Yunho smiling; he knew what the hybrid was feeling for he felt it too. It was a great feeling. A free feeling, like just waking up and knowing that you had done something magnificent, that no one else on earth could do. And he had, he had done something that only a few on earth could do.
He had bonded with his lifemate.
