Timeline: Post Suikoden V
Lymsleia felt deserted.
His brother, now Commander of the Queen’s Knights, was too busy with his duties… but hat was not the main problem since she also had this whole bunch of Falenan problems on her desks. Especially because it was only months after the end of the war, and they were all busy with rebuilding the whole Queendom and its system.
It was because his brother’s romantically had voiced his love to his bodyguard and youngest member of the Queen’s Knights, Lyon. Even though he still loved Lymsleia as a sister, the thought that his brother was now someone else’s was disturbing her.
Not only her brother, Miakis now also had a man she loved. Maybe true that Miakis still gave her full attention as the Queen’s bodyguard and treated her the same, but Lymsleia couldn’t help to imagine that when Miakis went to sleep, Lymsleia wouldn’t be the only one Miakis think about.
She hated to think she had to share his brother and Miakis with someone else.
How Lymsleia hated the war. How she hated the Godwins for making everything change. How she hated them to use her as a pawn in this whole revolution in Falena. How they took everything from her… her mother, her father, and then her brother and Miakis.
Why did everything have to change?
…but she then thought about everything from the start. If there hadn’t been war, Lordlake would still be suffering. The beavers and dwarfs would still cast themselves away from humans’ problems, even though they were also citizens of Falena. The Queendom would still be a court for the Senate members and Nobles to play on.
Shouldn’t she be thankful because the Queendom she had to rule was turning to a better place?
Then, when everything was in peace, why she felt so lonely? So alone?
Had her mother felt the same when she sit on the throne wearing the crown for the first time?
…maybe not, because she had her father at her side. A Commander of Queen’s Knight that truly loved and cared for her. A man that purely love her for all she had been, not lusted for her being a Queen.
Her Knight to her never had been any of Ferid to Arshtat.
Her current Knight would never too.
She held her tears of self-pity, cries for being alone. She wanted to feel how it would be if she had someone at her side, that would support her and be at her side every night and day and give her the care and love that no one had ever present before.
Like her father to her mother, like Lyon to her brother, like “he” to Miakis.
She might be too young to understand any of it, but she wanted so much for anyone to take her out from her current state.
But she had to hold on for now. If everyone was changing, she had to stop being spoiled and bear everything like when she had been in Gizel’s custody. Oh yes, she would wait.
… And it would be her greatest gift it the time really came…

“You’d better say goodbye to your current position and get another job, brother!” Lymsleia said out loud the next day.
The prince, Lyon, Miakis, and the other people present at the Audience Room that day blinked at Lymsleia’s sudden outburst.
The silence was finally broken by Lymsleia’s cough and she continued with a proud voice, “I wanted to say that but I’d like you all still as you are now.”
Even with the next words, the prince still looked confused. Lyon laughed half-heartedly, while Miakis commented and warned at her Queen’s strange behavior with still ever playful smile. Lymsleia treasured them all.
Maybe staying like this for a little bit longer wouldn’t hurt her. So Lymsleia thought.
