I don’t know anything

Lady Sialeeds,

Autumn almost reached our beloved Falena. Even the well-built fort of Stormfist cannot win against the cool wind of October. I hope the change of weather will not affect you too much.

Things are getting hectic in Port Spinacks especially that this is also an international matter; that I cannot leave this post as soon as I expected. I am so ashamed to leave you alone to handle our wedding arrangements, but I still think that everything will go well in your hands. I believe in your extraordinary taste. For the matter of what should I wear in the wedding, like what I’ve said before, I know that you know what is the best for the both of us.

Love,
Gizel Godwin

Dear Gizel,

Let me get this straight. In the last letter, you were saying, “I’m busy. I’ll leave it up to you.”

… I’m scared to imagine our marriage life if you’re already leaving me doing all things right now. You know very well that I’m not going to leave you alone when you got home.

I’ve finished arranging the list of menus with your mother and your chef. I attached the list, in case you really care.

I hope you freeze along with your papers there. This sweater obviously will not help you.

Love,
Sialeeds

PS: You tell Dolph that he should must wear formal clothes in the ceremony. He almost killed the tailor who wanted to measure his size.

To Her Highness Lady Sialeeds,

Truly, the breeze of the wind in Port Spinacks is cold. But, what brings Her Highness to present me the product of her handicraft to such a lowly person like me? Really, I don’t know the bundle of wool you ‘secretly’ woven for these past month was for me. I’m so honored. To return your appreciation, I sent you a gift.

As for the list of the cuisines, you’re really considerate to divide the dishes accordingly to each tables’ occupants. As expected from Lady Sialeeds. I don’t know that Martin cook tree, but if you put the menu in there, I believe that he can make them to suit the beavers’ tongue.

As for Dolph, after reading your letter, I personally told him to obey you. By the time you’re reading this, he should be behaving himself.

The sweater is very warm, I don’t want to show it to someone else, I want to keep it for myself, like I’m keeping you from any other men.

Love,
Gizel

Gizel,

Are you saying that you’re embarrassed to wear my sweater in front of anybody else? I know it’s ugly, but is it that horrible? Not even your wine could stop me from smacking you when you’re got back.

The tailor has already had Dolph’s size when you’re reading this. And no, Martin doesn’t cook trees, but he’s asking a beaver friend to help him in Beaver’s Cuisine.

Gunslinger Girl: Fratellos (Jean, Marco, Hilscher, Triela, with mention of Alessandro, Petrushka, Rico, Angelica, Jose, and Henrietta)

Definition Redefined

In the eye of her kinds, Petrushka… or Petra was unlike any of them.

Meanwhile, the cyborgs’ partners also knew that Petra’s partner, Alessandro, was rather… unique; in everything, including his ways of handling his little sister.

Triela almost jumped when she saw Petra put a cigarette between her lips after an outdoor training session. Moreover, Sandro was the one who offered the nicotine stick and the fire for the red haired girl.

“Have you gotten used to it?” Triela heard what the former spy asked playfully as he circled his hands around the cyborg’s waist.

Triela looked over to his brother after he felt a pat on her shoulders. “Hilscher, she’s… they’re…”

“Leave them alone.” Hilscher answered. His voice was low. Meanwhile, his eyes were watching Petra who looked shy and reluctant to Sandro persuasive moves.

“But,”

“Jean himself has washed his hands of this problem.” He pointed at the certain leader who pretended not to see the small scene between the new Fratello pair.

“But,”

“Triela,” Hilscher’s sharp call made her mouth to silence, although her eyes still sending silent protests to her brother.

Hilscher sighed. He understood every single word Triela was trying to say to him very well, because he was also as uncomfortable as Triela, every time he watched their newest recruits together.

Just a few days before, he entered Jean’s office to share his complaints about the former spy to their leader. He was greeted by the blonde haired man who with raised eyebrows, asking with a grim voice, “Is it about Alessandro?”

Hilscher then knew he was not alone.

Fratello groups worked in their own ways. Although they were given the same role of ‘brothers,’ each one of them ‘fulfilled’ their ways in different matters.

Jean maybe was the leader of the Fratello teams, but he tended to be silent on how the ‘brothers’ handle their ‘sisters’ in the Social Welfare Agency’s second division.

There was a time when he thought Jose was too much in how he managed Henrietta, but in the end, he did not do anything to protest his little brother’s choice of looking at Henrietta as a shadow of Enrika. Henrietta was Jose’s, like Rico to him.

No one could protest how a brother handling his sister. No one could complain how a Fratello pair worked. It was a silent agreement, an unwritten policy.

Apparently, a newcomer named Alessandro had made a number of men in the Second Division broken the policy.

He heard a complaint about how he put a certain piercing in the cyborg’s belly button. They wouldn’t really mind if he not trying to purposely show it off to the public with wearing her indecent dress. The alien metal in her stomach made some cyborg wonder…

Jean was sure that Jose was talking about Henrietta when his little brother explained it to him.

It also appeared that Alessandro was teaching Petrushka to kiss people’s cheek as a greeting. When she practiced that to him, one of the cyborgs was watching the act. The certain cyborg asked questions that made her partner startled.

Marco was somewhat annoyed and sad when he told Jean about the accident.

…and just now, Hilscher protested about how they smoke after a training sessions.

Jean knew that Sandro was trying to teach Petra how to smoke ever since the first time the easy-going Italian stepped his foot in Jean’s office. Jean himself must painfully accept that Sandro had the previlige to do so, especially after the Technical Department had given Petra the permission to smoke.

Each Fratello were different. They had their own methods in working together.

He understood was Alessandro was doing.

Alessandro had been a spy, specially trained to observe and watch over Padania - The Five Republics. He was trying to train Petrushka to be as human as possible, not to be suspected if she had to work undercover.

A cyborg that was also a undercover spy, the second division had never had something like that before.

Cyborgs were strong enough to come back bringing information. The cyborgs loyalty was absolute, they wouldn’t switch sides; but most of them hadn’t had enough stable emotion to be sent into enemy’s side.

Alessandro was trying to make Petra that kind of cyborg that they had never had before.

Smart, but his way was giving the other Fratello teams a disadvantage.
