Hats, mittens, scarves, and socks, they're all in rows on her (neatly made) bed, and she opens the journal to use its little picture function to show them off. Yes! What colors do you want? I can make them if I don't already have them.

Hey hey how is your writing blue? Tell me!

I dont know what color my winter jacket is yet but beige usually matches well. Can you do beige and white?

I'm just using blue ink. I'm sure there's more in the store, or other colors as well.

[She's also writing with a quill, but that's not specified.]

Oh, yes! That's quite easy! But are you sure you don't want more colors?

[She's being lazy. Also assuming this is after the giant rowfest with Ron, so she's REALLY not feeling up to leaving her room. Feel free to break down the door.]

...They look lovely, Luna.

[And as different as they are, Luna still hears Hermione's voice and knows something's wrong.]

Oh, it doesn't really matter.

[She's in too much of a funk to really comment on them. Not even the crazy ones are having the same effect on her.]

[Well then. She'll gather together a Gryffindor set and head down the hall a few steps to Hermione's room, then simply breeze into it without knocking.]

That's perfectly alright! Which ones would you like?

Flitterbys are small insects that greatly resemble butterflies, only they're released by dark wizards in order to gather ingredients for potions and certain magical workings. They're very hard to defend against when you can't think correctly.
