Final Fantasy 13 squee
Have been playing Final Fantasy 13. And that's pretty much all I've been doing. It's been a good spring break. :D
My thoughts so far are pretty much that Lightning ROCKS. Hard core. I want to be Lightning when I grow up. And her gunblade is so much cooler than Squall's it doesn't even compare.
I like most of the characters so far, Sazh is calm and collected and has an awesome chocobo, so what's not to like. Vanille is cute in her sunny-side up way.
Snow is a dorkface, but a well-meaning dorkface. Hope needs to grow up. A lot. And stop blaming Snow because, for serious, shut the fuck up. Your mom was trying to save your life and she volunteered to fight. Snow did not make her pick that weapon up nor did he shove her off a cliff. (me and Hope do not see eye to eye, but he's getting better! Lightning makes everyone at least 45% better just by proximity!)
I like the battle system, it's fastpaced and frantic. I also like that various storythreads so that the whole party isn't together the whole time. It allows for a more varied gameplay and various fighting techniques which is cool.
Also, Odin and Shiva are badass. I love Horsie!Odin.
And the entire game is absolutely gorgeous. So, overall, I am thoroughly enjoying it.
