One of the things I am looking forward to this year is the Middle School production of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying." My son got a part after trying out at the urging of his friends who later dropped out. I am proud of him for sticking out the audition process which has to be tough on a 14 year old boy and landing the part of

I pretty much missed New Year's Eve this year - again...pathetic. But now I am well rested with four days off to get into mischief with my favourite four year old.

Aw shucks, thanks for the nice words. As for our friend DE, he has been quiet of late maybe we shouldn't tickle the sleeping dragon, lol. Sorry, couldn't resist that.

I spent a quiet New Year, both my kids were out at parties so my husband and I had a practice run at the empty nest. That is going to take some getting used to. Have fun with your favorite four year old, that sounds like loads of fun. Don't make too much mishchief:)

I went and woke him up anyway....it was time:) He said that his ears haven't been burning lately and he really could use the heat. It's cold here today, a balmy 18.5 degrees F...looking for my Canadian dinner jacket (checkered lumber jacket ala Neil Young) and mukluks - yuck.

Well if he drops by I hope he says hello. We could all use a little heat;) It warmed up here to 40's and 50's from Christmas eve through yesterday, now it's about 25 and with windchill it has the effect of being 15F. I will need to get my own Canadian dinner jacket if it gets any colder. We'll have to take a road trip to visit SIP.

LOL How nice to find myself on such an illustrious list! I know what you mean about what to do now that the kids are older and my trade license is all but useless due to all the time I spent at home. You might want to add wallpaper hanging to your resume since many people are frightened to hang their own wallpaper.

Of course you'd be on that list, you always give me a good laugh and good gardening advice too. It is a trade off the time spent at home but I still feel it was worth it. You pick up loads of new skills at home like wallpapering for example. Slow economies produce new entrepreneurs as a general rule. I am definitely leaning towards the painting.

Hey if you can make money painting murals i'd do it. Congrats on your son getting the part. What fun!! Sounds like a lot of work too!!!
