okay, so this day is interesting. firstly, i am on the stupidest computer in the computer lab and i am typing but it takes like 2 seconds for each letter to show up on the screen. argh.

so remember how a new doorknob was installed in the computer room yesterday and i almost got locked into the room? well now the door is acting up and it is super hard to open with your key so, since i am sitting closest to the door, whenever somebody has key frustrations and knocks on the door, i feel the duty to get up and open it. this will become more frustrating once i start to work on my paper. hee hee.

so today we went to uno city which is the headquarters or whatever of the united nations international center. it was exciting and the buildings are really weird and we technically left austrian soil, which is always an exciting thing to do. and now i am super frustrated with the whole door thing because if people don't take their key out of the door i can't open it! and my god, this girl is short. anyway, the un thing was exciting. there were a bunch of flags hanging and i saw the weird shaped two triangle flag, which made me happy. we also got to watch a video about all the good stuff the un does. it was kind of like un propaganda, but taht's okay.

after the tour, i went to subway with karyn and charli. subway makes me happy because at no other restaurant thingy in vienna do i hear so much english. not even mcdonald's. as we were sitting at subway, we noticed that we were sitting by a picture of the empire state building. now, normally this is not that exciting, but in the background you could see the twin towers. on top of them, someone had put a big red X and there was a question mark by it. i found this extremely exciting, for some reason, and i think charli and karyn thought i was crazy or something.

okay, well that has really been all today. the rest of my day will probably be extremely boring because i am going to attempt to write a good chunk of my paper. woo hoo, education in the first republic.
