my non-commitment ceremony

So, big news. After much wrangling and theorizing, Miss T and I have decided to have a Ceremony in Lincoln Park on April 16, 2006. Breathe!!

And do whatever the fuck feels right...that's my feedback...even if you bought "into the monogamy and eternity parts," if it was what was right for u 2 right now it's fine...If our gender/sexuality and every other GDamn thing are mutable why not our relationship configurations?

Will I see u in August?

your response is one I was particularly interested in hearing, DbS -- you share a good bit of my world(s), my politics, etc, and you (please hear this with the deep respect it intends) are one of my community elders. I actually did take a deep breath when I read it, and felt a lot better. I think I am looking for sanction, permission, support, yadda yadda...and I'd do better to continue my internal research about how I feel. right now, I'm pretty righteous, I feel like we're creating our own thing in the tradition of our queer lives and legacies. mutable is a fabulous word. scary, though.

and yes, you sure will see me in August, provided I do enough extra shifts and odd jobs to afford it. I'm coming up with the DART RV crew on Monday, setting up in Bush Gardens on my own. I'm so very much looking forward to hanging out with you and the family. peace to you.

Is this still the correct final date? With all the travel plans I'm making, I don't want to accidentally schedule something on the same weekend...
