Okay, so, I'm getting my laptop on Friday (OMG WHOO HOO!)! After about two years of trying to gather the funds to get one, it's finally happening! Which is great because my current computer is literally on it's deathbed.

The problem is, I'm having trouble deciding between two.

The Toshiba Satellite
or
The Acer AspireI don't know that much about

Well, the acer has 40 more gigs in the drive, and an extra gig of ram. Then again, I had a satellite that lasted 4+ years. It's still working, except for the hinge. ;_;

Acer also seems to have better shared memory for video. It also has a built in webcam. >.>

It looks like you get a lot for the extra $30 in the Acer. I'd look on other sites and read comments, just so you can see if there are any common problems or how the customer service is. Same with the Toshiba.

I've been looking and it's all mixed as far as reviews. That's why I was hoping that people would actually have a good idea of what might be better. *patpat* Thank you though, meh Alicia.

I've heard really great things about Acer, and almost bought one. ALSO, and please listen to me here, if you are gonna get Vista (and you probably don't have a choice, because it's standard now), you NEED 2 gigs of RAM. 1 gig will make it a very, very unhappy experience. I want to strongly recommend the Acer just for that reason. Also, I hear they have GORGEOUS displays.
