Sungmin knew the moment Kyuhyun knelt on his knees and gave him a bouquet of flowers that one day that Kyuhyun probably had mental problems and they had to go to a doctor. I mean seriously, who in the right mind would like Sungmin? But nonetheless, he agreed, because he loved Kyuhyun.
The way Kyuhyun loves is something between shyness and some sort of boldness. Confusing? Yes, well, Kyuhyun is like that.
When they sleep under the covers, just holding each other, Kyuhyun sometimes suddenly pulls Sungmin to his chest as his back is faced to him, breathing the scent of his hair.
When they’re outside, he’d discreetly place his hand on Sungmin’s waist, pulling him closer, slightly leaning his head on Sungmin’s.
Sungmin was the quiet type of someone who loves. He doesn’t vocalize as much as Kyuhyun does nor does he present as much either. He doesn’t particularly start any motion of skinship.
And honestly, that bothers Sungmin. It bothers Sungmin a lot. It makes him feel like he’s not doing enough. Like if he makes a mistake, he could just slip away like dust through his fingers. The fact that Kyuhyun does more than him, disturbs him.
And most of the time, he just thinks he’s not good enough; not doing enough.
“Kyuhyun-ah… I think… we should just stop seeing each other,” Sungmin says, lightly tracing shapes on Kyuhyun’s chest as the taller cradles him on his legs, Sungmin’s head pressed lightly against him.
“Why?” Kyuhyun quietly whispers, tightening his hold on Sungmin’s left arm, like it’s going to keep Sungmin in place and not leave him.
Well that idea doesn’t have complete absurdity. Sungmin always had a soft spot for Kyuhyun’s wishes.
“I-I… I’m not good enough Kyuhyun. I… I can’t play video games for you, I can’t cook you good enough food. I can’t even dance right. I don’t have a voice to sing for you. I can’t give you what you want, and I’ll end up disappointing you. I’m not worth that trouble so please, just… just make it easier for the both of us by letting me go.”
Kyuhyun presses a soft kiss on Sungmin’s forehead, gripping Sungmin’s arm lightly.
“Sungmin, I didn’t love you because you were perfect. I wasn’t expecting you to be, even if that’s the way I see you. I don’t need good food. I don’t need someone who can win a thousand singing contests for me. I need you. I need your smile, your voice that serenades me to sleep at night. Your face that I see always, even when I close my eyes. Your smile that can light up a thousand despairs. You’re the one I need Sungmin,” Kyuhyun says, right above Sungmin’s ear as he rests his chin on Sungmin’s head.
Sungmin sobs, letting his body slump against Kyuhyun’s embrace.
A thousand thoughts.
A thousand words.
You’re still here.
Damn it. Now it feels like Kyuhyun is a damn dream guy. Is that what fiction does? Making characters seem like they're perfect or smth? Lol.
Comments are very much appreciated but I won't force you since I don't like it much either. ><
