Don't think you're too good for a job that you're overqualified for. You could use the job experience (so far you only have the library as job experience, right?) and any money is still money. Better for future jobs to see you've been doing SOMETHING. And getting out of the house to work (even at McDonald's!) might actually be FUN.

It's not so much that I'm conceited, but when my mom applied for jobs, a lot turned her down because she was overqualified, and didn't want to pay her what she should have been making. So I applied for things like "CT aide" and "Radiology assistant" but I couldn't even get those jobs, when I have the qualifications to actually be the technologist the assistant would be helping. I feel like I was perfectly qualified to do that and I really wish they would have hired me. But I think they didn't because they thought I would have wanted more money than they wanted to pay me. Which simply isn't true.

That, and then my parents are the ones who are kind of conceited. They actually DO believe I'm too good to do some things. I do not. But I don't really like arguing with them about it. They argue enough, between my dad wanting me to move far away and do nuc med somewhere else, and my mom who would rather I do anything BUT leave.
