audre lorde has probably the third wave's most frequently quoted saying "The Master's tools will never dismantle the Master's house" so I wouldn't be surprised if it was something along those lines.

as for rocky, i probably won't be downtown from York in time, but call me anyway, maybe I can meet up for a beer afterwards, specially since Mitzi is leaving soon.

Okay, what the fuck? That is insane news about Julian. How's your mom handling it? Was he still living with your parents before he left. Jeeze! I feel old now.

julian's been living with his mom for a while. he actually came back to visit for the weekend, but he's 18 and doesn't really care to visit with anyone else, family wise. he's a lot to learn still.

anyway, apparently he and a friend were planning this for awhile, they just weren't sure when exactly so he didn't tell Lourdes. Apparently he packs his bags for the weekend all the time, so when he told my sister he was going for a weekend roadtrip she didn't think much of it until he hadn't come back for over a week.

Everyone's pretty much in agreement that this is probably the best thing for him. St. John's, Newfoundland isn't exactly as resourceful as Toronto for the kind of kid he was turning out to be.

wanna talk about feeling old?

the other day, in my film class tuturial someone asked when a certain film was made. The t.a. said "1988" and this girl said, "oh, that's the year I was born in."

I sat there thinking, "fuck, I have a nephew your age!"

Then I thought, I'm seven years older than everyone in this tutorial...(it's a first year course)...and most of you aren't even legal drinking age yet...

ewww.
