I know just about everyone else has posted from their jobs before, but I never have. And not that I'm working per se. I am exactly sitting at the desk in the AGYU putting in some volunteer time. When I started working at Publicis I too felt the same way you do today. It is a nice feeling, except now instead of cleaning up after people at the coffee shop, I'm helping them around the office. Mind you, my opinion is worth something here and I get to have interesting conversations with a lot of people. So, the change was definitely a positive one.

Also, I think it's awesome that you're volunteering there. Props.

alas I spoke too soon about my day. after my time was up, I went to go see about a clerical error on my file that turned out to be the office of the registrar's fault, but I got the runaround for about FOUR FREAKING HOURS only to have to resubmit a bunch of paperwork. fucking York'ed, YET again...argh.

it's important to do stuff that you like outside of normal work/school stuff..
keeps the everyday chugging along more bearable..

massey hall today and tomorrow. i just got back actually, it was a good show and I really enjoyed the venue itself.
