I *believe* that if the damage is under $500, you don't claim... it might be $1000, I don't remember... but when I got rearended in 04, there was minimal damage, and even though a statie stopped, he said there wasn't enough to warrant an accident report...

I hear you on the clean driving record too... I got tagged last year because I slid on ice going 10MPH and kissed someone's bumper... and then again this year because some a-hole slid on ice, cracked my rear bumper, but left (I wasn't in the car), I had to pay for it and file with my INS... 7+ years of clean driving and fucking ice screws me over... I'm moving to Florida!

It's $1000 of damage or serious bodily injury. And since I'm not claiming my damages to my vehicle, there's definitely less than a grand. But the motherfucker is claimimg back pain. What an asshole.

I'm thinking of calling him to see if he filed one. He'll probably just tell me to fuck myself though.
