Ok, so the new Facebook can be a little overwhelming at first, and may seem "stalker-ish"... but its not really that different than the site you may have visited last week. If anything, it's more convenient

MY biggest thing is the relationship stuff. If Jay breaks up with me and I become single I don't want tons of people knowing that. I don't really "network" that much, but that's just something I'd rather have come from me. Or if Someone gets engaged, I don't want to see that on facebook, people usually like to tell people that kind of stuff in person. *shrug* I don't hate all of the feeds, just a few of them.
But having that kind of information on Facebook to begin with is telling people that its ok if they know your relationship status. I mean, God forbid, if you and Jay broke up, I doubt the first thing you'll do is update your Facebook profile. Same goes for if you got engaged, I think you would call your closest friends right away.
Besides if you check the site like you did in the past by going to the My Friends page, you would see all of this information anyway, it was just harder to get to (harder meaning 2 more clicks).
BUT, if HE broke up with ME he could change the status and I think it changes mine. Or at least removes him name. I would obviously tell my friends first, but I don't think that kind of stuff should just be broadcasted. Meh. I just wish they'd let me chose what shows up in peoples feeds. I agree with you about the friends of yours becoming friends with strangers. Who cares? It's a little busy.
