(no subject)
We put Izzy in a basket with towels when she started having contractions, but she has been shredding paper under my mom's bed for the last month as a nest, and she absolutely refused to have the kitten anywhere but under the dirty bed. So now there is a towel under there (at least), and that's where she nurses the kitten. Those first two pictures are literally minutes after it was born.
These pictures are about 36 hours after birth.. I assume since it looks like a Tortoise Shell, that it is surely a female as there is only a 1/3000 chance that it could be a male that would probably be sterile due to a genetic mutation. If it is a male Tortoise Shell, then I'm Ebaying that bitch! But seriously, we are giving it away around 6-8 weeks since we already have three cats.
