HG is perfect
I SAW THE HUNGER GAMES.
Let's get that out there to begin with. Now for thoughts and reactions:

- The reaping is perfect.
- Haymitch is acted perfectly, but he just looks wrong (not sure how or why but something is off about it)
- Gale is perfect <3
- The three mins to say goodbye, so good. I was nearly crying, how she is with her mum is perfect. Angry but loving and fearful.
- The capitol is just a weird and strange and bizzare as you'd expect.
- Effie's good, her first outfit is weird, but the rest are good. Love her eyeshadows
- NEW FAV CHARACTER: Gamemaker Rowan, so hot and funny and good. And the beard actually works.
- I must admit that I was tuning out with all the Katniss/Peeta scenes but as I don't ship them that's expected.
- Their "on fire" outfits were good, but not jaw-dropping.
- The interviews were great. Katniss' so awkward and appropriate, Peeta's good, funny and LOLsome.
- The games were good, you realise how little talking there actually is, easy line learning job for the actors.
- There were awesome gamemakers scenes cut into the action and they were great, totally realistic and SO COOL.
- Rue's death was well done, but I kept on thinking that they'd zoom out and show us what the viewers of the games were seeing, not just the sky.
- But after the death there was awesome shots of rebellion, go district 11!
- Snow is goooooooooood, or at least acted well.
- The cave scenes were awkward and funny
- Haymitches notes, priceless
- The violence, SO BAD. It was easily the worst part of the movie, it was all jarry and blurred and you couldn't follow OR see anything, I get that it was for the rating in the US but still. It wouldn't made it so so so much better if the violence was actually good quality.
- That said, the shots of the dead tributes were pretty freaky and weird.
- End of the games--brilliant! Loved it.
End thoughts: I still hate Peeta, but now I like Katniss, LOVE Gale, Snow and Haymitch, and really appreciate the violence in Game of Thrones.
