Yay, I hope you like it Kate! I spent all night last night practicing weaving because I thought I needed to make the cloth in order to level up tailoring. Then I realized Nora near the inn sells cloth. *d'oh!*
It's so easy to lose hours upon hours playing this. I was playing last night, and it was past midnight before I knew it. If you do try it out, let me know what you think!
hey already playing the game... lol my friend dragged me to play with her and we are on the mari server also ;D what a coincidence... anyways my character name is Eyre still so feel free to add me if you want ;p
i dunno really i'm kind of lost in the game i'm just really doing quest and killing things haha ;D and i don't know if you know her she goes by cleartailcat
I've actually been playing for a few hours now and gained a few levels, and the game has kept me so busy with quests, I didn't feel like I was grinding at all.
Even combat with stronger monsters requires you to be alert and calculating if you don't want to die. The battle system is rather nuanced in that you control specific combat actions instead of just using skills.
All in all, a MMORPG I can actually play for more than a few days, I think.
I "grinded" tailoring and weaving last night, but it was the type of grinding I actually enjoyed. I can see how it will become more tedious to gain skill points later on, but thinking back to how RO was, this isn't so bad.
The combat system is really unique, isn't it? I haven't quite gotten the hang of it yet. I've died a few times trying to figure it out, haha. I'm sure I'll get it with a little more practice.
That's entirely possible. The beta does say "North America only", and I'm not sure how to work around something like an IP block. Maybe you could e-mail them, explain that you'd like to play, and ask what they'd recommend?
