DSL went down last night so I spent my time petting Ankimo, reading, eating leftovers and finishing a necklace for someone. I took photos and sent them, so, hopefully she will like it. I have another one to make for a friend's friend, and a sculpture to mess around with. So much glass, so little time ( Read more... )

I really enjoyed your post. It reminds me of things that I've been working on in my life too.

first things first - she *does* love the necklace! ;)

i just wrote to a friend about something like this today! i am attempting to stop trying to change things that i can't. and to stop worrying about everything as much as i do. and to stop making up new things to worry about! i am a bona fide worrywart and it's honestly been hard work NOT to be. my husband helps me everyday. he reminds me often to be "rigidly flexible" when things are changing or not going the way i *think* they should be. and it's slowly seeping in.

each of us is a work in progress...

That was beautiful. Truly was. I actually had tears in my eyes after reading the post.

Thank you so much for something that really resonates with the direction I am hoping to take in my life. I can definitely learn lessons in not making mountains from molehills.

I also appreciate how you can take even little smidgen of adversity (i.e. the DSL going down) and taking the opportunity to do other things that you enjoy (glass, cats, reading, etc.). I used to know many people who would annoyingly pontificate over lack on net access and whine as if nothing else mattered.

I am so lucky and fortunate to have met you.
