i wish i could walk to a grocery store. that's the one thing about my neighborhood... not walkable. blah.

I should time it to see how long it takes, it has to be maybe 1/2 mile? I have no idea. It's a nice walk, long enough to be exercise, and enjoy the walk itself, but not so long you die carrying a couple bags. I agree, it's a very, very nice thing to not have to take a car to get groceries. There's a couple restaurants and a liquor store, a nail salon, a UPS store. It's the same grocery area we went to before we bought the house, now we just approach from the other side, and about 1.5 miles closer. I'm very happy we ended up able to walk to these things, even tho we weren't really thinking about it when we made an offer.

p.s. glad d enjoyed his day off. It's good for him!

yes it is good for d... he did enjoy the day. : )

our nearest groceries are 3 miles in all directions, bordered by freeways, canyons, and huge hills. not AT ALL walkable. : /
