rss is a way to write in one place, and have it go to many. IT's basically syndication, the way a tv show can be syndicated, and played in many places on different tv channels. Go check out the syndicated feeds available for your friends list. You can get dilbert-a -day, for example, or other journals you like that aren't in LJ, I know Wil Wheaton syndicates, for example. You can read his stuff without having to go to his site, just by adding the feed to your friends page like you did mine.

The good thing for folks who RECEIVE it is they can see everything in one place. It actually works the way your friends list already does, you get to see everyone on your list in one place, right, without looking at each person's journal. Rss works the same way, but across the internet, not just in LJ. When I write at lunesse.com, it automatically shows up at lunysyn without my having to do anything. If you look at the journal their, the entries will be identical in content, though you can leave seperate comments over there, if you wish. Someone who ( ... )
